So I received a spam message that has my full first name and initial of my surname.

I don't usually use my full first name, just the 1st of my first name. Sa mga subscription lang globe and smart, or banks ako gumagamit ng full first name, tapos alam pa mobile number ko.

I feel like one of these company had data leaked at hindi lang inaamin.

May GCash ka? CHeck the name that appears on their side when they send money to you. Ganyan name format na nalabas pag nagsesend ako ng pera sa GCash eh. First name tapos initial lang ng surname.

Kahapon lang, I got a phishing call. From Legal daw sya ng GCash at tinatanong kung may pinipilit daw akong itransact na halagang 5k. During the call, sunod sunod na may pumapasok na OTP text ng GCash. Sasakyan ko sana yung tawag nya eh. Bibigyan ko ng mali-maling OTP hanggang sa mabwisit sya sakin. Eh pinalapag na ni misis yung tawag. Sayang. Ipaparecord ko sana sa kanya eh at ishe-share sa relatives for awareness. Ngayon pinaprocess pa ni GCash yung pag-unlock ng account ko.

Do you keep large amount on your gcash Kaya alam nila ang target nila? I only keep around 1k sa gcash ko, I only transfer when I need it.

Curious lang ako pano nila nalalaman kung sino target, kung nakikita nila laman ng gcash natin.

Laman ng gcash ko mga 500 tops na lang. Dati umaabot ng 1k - 2k, nung libre pa magcash in sa shopeepay thru gcash. Nung may charge na, di na ko naglalagay ng malaki. Not sure kung pano sila namimili ng bibiktimahin. Bihira ako magsend ng pera thru express send eh. Most of the time eh by QR code ang transaction ko.

I'm thinking sa Globe or Smart mismo kasi I NEVER gave my postpaid sa contact tracing forms. My phone does not have a spam folder and I get these stupid messages kahit madaling araw! It's so annoying

Replace your sms app with Google Mesaages, it has spam filter and blocking. Sometimes alam na ni Google na spam yung text kahit hindi mo flag na spam, kaya diretso kagad sa spam folder.

is it possible, there is such a thing as a "back door" for IT personnel...?
that somehow, some un-authorized entity gained access to it...?

yung second SIM ko na pre-paid Smart eh minsan ko lang gamitin, for emergency pag walang signal yung Globe ko. yun ang ginamit ko para maka register byenan ko sa GCash para sa mga cash gifts sa senior citizens ng Makati. lately eh nakaka receive ako ng spam texts na may name pa ng byenan ko. wala akong ibang pinag register itong SIM ko. nabenta pa yata yung data hehe

I heard on the news sa senate hearing yata, NTC is looking at viber and gcash. I'm sure it's not my viber kasi hindi alam ng viber full name ko. So sure malamang gcash nga.

Dahil sa nabasa ko iniba ko name format ko sa Facebook and Viber..
Yung sa messages na may kasama name, sa Shopee galing.. Iba kasi name format ko dun..
Kaunti lang spam messages ko sa Smart Postpaid ko.. Yung sa Globe Corporate na number ko dati, grabe!!
Nakakalimutan ko bumili ng Gomo prepaid sim [emoji28]..

Baka po meron may kilala sa smart enterprise na pwede mag complain? Meron kasi kami new line application for new employee nung July pa kaso hanggang ngayon wala pa ni isang reply saamin. Yung relationship manager naman namin walang kwenta at walang silbi kasi di pa panahon ng renewal ng account namin.

Kung kelan mas kumikita ang Globe binawasan pa rewards I'm still thankful though I get to buy something yearly for free

Ah I also got 500 points lang din. May mga 300+ points pa pala ako na hindi ko nagagamit hehe.

Mas sulit nga actually mag redeem sa Lazada kasi 500 points lang din para sa P500 Lazada wallet. Pag sa Shopee 525 points e. Kaso may mga pending akong binili sa some online selllers na gamit nila Shopee checkout para mura lang shipping fee. Kaya Shopee na lang kinuha ko hehe.
