My youngest is planning to assemble this.

    Gigabyte Z690I AORUS ULTRA D4 M-ITX Intel Gen12 (LGA 1700)

Gigabyte RTX3080 Gaming OC 12GB NVIDIA 300 Series

    Gigabyte AORUS 7000S M.2 NVME 1TB SSD

    Gigabyte AORUS PC5-5200Mhz CL40 DDR5 2x16GB

Approx cost of the above is about 140K which is Option 1.

If we use Gigabyte RTX 3070TI AORUS Master 8GB NVIDIA 300, price will be around 116K which is Option 2.

Any inputs on the spec for those who are really good in gaming? And is the price range reasonable?

CPU? Case? Power supply? Cooling? Lots of missing parts from your build assess whether it’s good value or not.

If your son wants to go with an all-Gigabyte build then you pay the premium for the branding.

    Gigabyte Z690I Aorus - 20k
    Gigabyte 3080 - 65k
    Gigabyte 7000S 1TB - 10k
    Gigabyte 32GB DDR5 - 16k
Total: 111k without CPU, case, power supply, cooling, fans, hard drive

Thanks jut703 for the pricing estimate, forgot to detailed the others. I dont do gaming myself hehe. Any good alternative brand that you can recommend will be helpful for the main parts?

The motherboard will use the Intel i7 12700K which is part of my earlier estimate.

Casing, Power supply and cooling will be added as well and not in my price estimate.

Meron ng monitor, gaming mouse, separate external keyboard from an existing older Nitro5 laptop.

DD5 ram is expensive as of now compared to the performance gain against DDR4. I would rather get DDR4 and a less expensive motherboard, unless you want to "future proof."

Also there is a cost premium with going for a smaller form factor as your motherboard is itx. Things like the power supply will cost more.

There are ITX cases that can accommodate ATX-sized PSUs, like the NZXT H210i which is my favorite ITX case.

Spec-wise, ITX boards are about 1-2k more expensive than equivalent mATX and ATX boards. I think worth the premium naman for the smaller form factor.

You can save a few bucks if you get an intel cpu without the 'K' at the end if your son will not do overclocking

I suggest to get something like 850w or higher power supply. And check the unit if it is on the high-end side. This is a must considering that your pc parts are also high end.

Id go with WD Black SN 770 1Tb. its the latest from WD. It has the lowest latency if competitive gaming.

For memory Adata XPG 6000 CL40s are better than those aorus sets. They are somewhat highly desirable in the overclocking scene. I checked its compatible with the z690i ultra.

for gpu go for zotac or galax.. same drivers.. you can use MSI afterburner to overclock these.

    Thanks sa mga inputs.

What are your thoughts on ADATA Gamix S50 Lite NVME? Its 40% cheaper than Aorus 7000S.

I also check the DDR5 Corsair 5200 CL40 and its cheaper than the Aorus for this 2x16gb. Is it also a good choice?

For power supply, looking at Corsair RM850 or RM1000X. Or the Gigabyte P1000GM. Still figuring out, inputs are very much welcome.

Like they said ... DDR5 is expensive for now ... diminishing returns ... you also don't need a high spec CPU for gaming ... most of the work is done by the GPU ...

5200 CL 40 are ultra slow mems. I'd go with ddr4 32gb 3600 CL 16 in the 10k price range. (ddr4 motherboards are plenty)

I'd go with a Ryzen 9 5900 or 5950 and then upgrade the gpu to a 3080ti instead or 3090 gaming is all about the gpu... Just my 2 cents

    3080 is now 55k.

Also don't get the gigabyte powersupply. there were some issues with them. get corsairs or seasonics.

an oc version of the 3080ti is practically a 3090 without the rear pcb memory chips. less heat in the long run.. and the fps are almost the same...

Intel's 12th gen is good but the price of the cpu+mb+ram. you have to use ddr5 if you'll be utilizing the bw.

    100k : 12900k + asus z690 formula + 32gb gskill ddr5s

    80k : 5950x + asus x570 formula + 32gb gskill ddr4s

on 4K gaming, its more gpu bound.
