Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Shopping for computers on a limited budget is always a challenge.

18k for an i3 sounds like a good deal. No problem in acquiring Windows.

I'll also look sa tipidpc.com. I follow a member there who uploads detailed photos of the used laptops he sells.

Don't you need Bootcamp for that? Anyhow, you'd still need to buy a Windows installer.

I traded my 2013 ASUS RoG G46VW for my kid's 2017 Thinkpad 11e. She wanted a laptop with some gaming capability. The G46VW is still getting almost 6 hours with the original battery (original battery life is 7 hours). Not bad for a 4-year old laptop.

Looking to buy my first real laptop. Only had netbooks before for school.

At my pricepoint (25-35k), what are the best options available? Work laptop lang naman kelangan ko but i want it to be decent and worry free for the foreseeable future. Ive been looking at the following:

    Dell Inspiron 15 5567 * 32k
    Acer Aspire e15 * 29k
    HP Pavillion 15 * 30k
And a bunch of Asus laptops at that pricepoint.
May LG Gram din 2nd hand at *30k sa tipidpc

Are these good choices? Im not very knowledgeable when it comes to tech so what should i look for in specs? 4GB of RAM and atleast an i3 processor ang nabackread ko dito. Any help would be much appreciated!

And may stores ba that you guys can recommend? Ive been looking at tipidpc and nahanap ko dun si Kwan Corporation and mukang okay ang prices niya.

What programs and specific usage will the laptop be performing for you?

Good brands are HP, Dell, Lenovo. Look for units with 3 years warranty to pritect your investment. Get the highest specs your budget can buy. Also check for availability of service centers.

Just read this now, just wondering, do you want windows to use ms office? My wife uses a mac, and she installed office for mac. She swears that the mac OS is definitely feature packed than windows. But me. I use a windows laptop

I'm using Dell Inspiron 15 since last year. Pinadagdagan ko lang RAM to make it 8GB and so far very satified with it. Looks expensive BTW hehe. Mabigat lang kasi 17inc yung sa akin.

The Acer Aspire seem ok as well, buhay pa Acer emachine ko 7 years na. Palit lang hard disk, battery at keypad. Of course sa office lang kasi nagagamit yun pero matibay na rin imho.

Hi! Basic microsoft office work lang mostly but i want it to be lag free din for surfing, netflix, etc. If capable ng light gaming thats a plus, but not important. Dont really need a midrange level laptop but ive been compromising before and i want peace of mind lang this time around and want a hassle free experience.

Thank you for the feedback! Mukhang solid nga yun Inspiron series. Nalilito lang ako kasi theres a lot of variants haha. So basically talagang i should be looking at RAM?

Can’t go wrong with Dell. They have the best after sales support, 2nd to Apple.

I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 and really happy with it.

For your use case, I’d suggest a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and definitely get one with an SSD hard drive. Go for at least 256GB paired with a 500GB to 1TB HDD

The Dell 5567 should have specs close to what I’ve mentioned.

Kung di ka masyado picky. You can go with the already used one. Since a bnew will cost double. Just buy a previous gen model for a fraction of a cost. My laptops are all second hand via tpc. Yung pinakamatagal ko is intel ivy bridge pa paired with a 7670m dedicated gpu. Got it for like 15k lang that time.
