I'm also building one to replace the one I use for download. I need a small footprint and a descent speed so I have the following:
1. Gigabyte F2A88XN-WIFI mini ITX MB
2. Delta M300W SFX PSU
3. G Skill Sniper 4Gx2 DDR3 2400
4. Silverstone ML05 mini ITX case
5. 128 GB Patriot SSD
6. Still waiting for AMD A10-7870K APU
Very nice. I thought about getting DDR3 2400. But, the motherboard I bought required a RAM overclock to use DDR3 2400. I stuck with 2133 instead.
The A10-7850K is my first APU. Before giving the PC to my daughter, I played some Crysis on it. At 1280x1024 Medium settings (Shaders at High), the framerates were solidly in the 30's and 40's. He He. I kept looking to see if there was a video card inside the PC.![]()
Actually, I took out the old 8600GT and installed the GT 730 that was in her previous PC (Phenom II X3 720BE). I think the GT 730 DDR5 is better than the R7 7850K.
I'm kicking myself for giving away an HD 5770 and GTX 560 Ti to friends a year ago. I didn't think I'll need them anymore. I hate being wrong.![]()
Mas maganda naman talaga yung separate display card. Ang ganda lang sa system na ito it allows you add another display card para combine yung video performance niya. So later pwede pang mag upgrade ng system.
Giving away those stuff will give a reason to buy a new one.![]()
I could have put in the GTX 560 Ti in my older daughter's PC instead of buying her a Radeon R9 290x. I recently assembled
a gaming PC for her (Intel i5 4670k/R9 290x/16Gb DDR3 1600). My youngest could have had the Radeon HD 5770 which is more powerful than the GT 730.
I didn't see it coming though. Last year, I thought a tablet was sufficient for both of them.
Just completed building this mini ITX PC with AMD A10-7870K (unlock). This APU is really hot and you can hear the fan at max speed at full load. Still need to break in to see other problems with the set up. So far so good and quite stable. Don't intent to OC although the MB allows it.

If you can wait long enough (1-2 months), I suggest you guys look at the R9 Fury Nano...

Damn, son! Where'd you find this?
Since we have a road trip coming up, I'm getting stuff ready. One is my laptop: 14" ASUS G46VW. Its i5 3230m/GTX 660m is roughly equivalent to my old desktop Phenom II X3 720BE with Radeon HD 5770.
It's not really powerful. But, its native res is only 1366x768. Aside from The Witcher 3 (unplayable) and Far Cry 4 (marginal), all other games are playable with Medium or High detail settings. Far Cry 3 and GTA V run particularly well.

I also like Virtual Box. I use it a lot for retro stuff such as Windows 98 and MS-DOS 6.22. I also use it to host guest OSes such as Ubuntu and Windows XP. Some of my IT courses required I make extensive use of the Terminal in Linux. XP? I use it mainly to surf for pr0n. In case malware nukes my OS, it'll only be the guest OS (XP) that gets affected.

Just last Wednesday night, ayaw mag-on ng desktop ko. First thing I did, eh i-check yun power supply kung yun ang sira o hindi by doing the paper clip test. Now, as of yesterday night naman, ayaw pa rin gumana, kaso "nagmumulto" siya. What I mean is, kusa siyang nag-o-on pero hindi naman siya tumutuloy sa pag-boot. Parang fluctuating kung baga.
Ano na kaya sira nito? Kahit pindutin ko yun power switch na nasa motherboard mismo eh ayaw niya mag-on. CMOS reset was done at pagtanggal ng CMOS battery. All peripherals removed pati RAM, ayaw pa rin mag-on. Do I have a faulty mobo or faulty PSU kaya?
How old is the motherboard or pc? There are capacitors near the motherboard 4pin plug sometimes these gets bloated. These electrolytic caps sometimes dont last that long.
Also note of the beeping sound during startup. If there is beep sound there is a message for that. Video card or memory could be the culprit. But if the pc is old. Most likely its the motherboard.

* testament11 ... that's probably a faulty PSU ... twice i experienced similar symptoms and replaced whole cpu ... only to find later that those "defective" cpu's just have faulty PSU's ... hth
i agree.... you may think that the PSU is working via the moving fans, but in reality, it is insufficient to power on every thing.

Board is a little over 3 years palang.
Bro, wala talaga kasi ayaw niya mag-on.
Is there a way para malaman kung enough yun voltage delivery ng PSU?
If you don't have a spare PSU (to check and PSU nga sira or hindi), try these:
(1) uninstall all hardwares connected to the board (hdd, odd, ram and all those mounted in the pci and pcie slots (video cards, sound cards etc.)
(2) install only the minimum hardwares to make a boot (processor chip and 1 piece of memory)..
then check mo pag tumuloy nag 'POST'..
Mas okay if may speaker sana board mo para marinig mo ilang beep sound.
