A desktop is a more efficient solution for me as I need a big screen, separate mouse and keyboard, and don't need mobility for my Lightroom work.

How old is the motherboard or pc? There are capacitors near the motherboard 4pin plug sometimes these gets bloated. These electrolytic caps sometimes dont last that long.

Also note of the beeping sound during startup. If there is beep sound there is a message for that. Video card or memory could be the culprit. But if the pc is old. Most likely its the motherboard.

Google images : motherboard bad capacitors

It might be your board. ASrock motherboards are crap for me. They never lasted for more than 2 years. I had the same problem as yours and when I changed my mobo, everything was fine.

Yung laptop ko may topak. Madalas sa morning ay ayaw mag switch on. nakailaw lang yung power button pero hindi nag start ang laptop pati mga fan ay hindi gumagana.. hinahayaan ko na nakasaksak yung power supply tapos after 15 minutes ay alisin ko saksakan and battery tapos ay ilalagay ko ulit and pindot ko ulit power ng laptop and gagana na.

It is highly likely a PSU problem. Ano bang brand ang PSU mo? Don't us eraser in cleaning the contacts it will be damaged due to ESD.

Lahat yan ginawa ko na. Unfortunately, wala talaga.

So ginawa ng technician eh palit power supply muna. Wala, di rin nag-on. Nagcheck din siya kung failing na yun mga peripherals ko and fortunately ok lahat. Sinubukan din niya ang power supply ko doon sa PC nila at nag-on naman. So from there, may conclusion na kami na mobo failure na. So the worst case scenario happened, palit mobo, palit processor.

Tinanong ko siya anong nangyari bakit mobo failure. Di rin niya ko masagot kasi wala namang bloated caps. Hinala naman ng gf ko, possible shorted ang mobo.
Floating ground sa house? This can damage motherboards. Cpu could still be working. Not sure why this has to be replaced. I handled lots of core i5 and core i7, i never killed one except when my evbot pushed 2.1v during a session with liquid nitrogen hehehhe.

Ok na sana. Pero last week ayaw mag start ulit. Kelangan ko i hard restart (tangalin ang battery at power cord at discharge ang capacitor by pressing down power button for about 30 secs without battery and power cord). Nag start pero 2001 nanaman ang date. Inayos ko ulit. Pero basta ishut sown o sleep mode ayaw magstart pwera lang i hard restart at adjust date and time.

Pag hindi i shut down o sleep mode.

Power issue normally is because of bad/damaged capacitors. Better buy a new laptop.

Laptops cmos power is from the battery that you remove kaya nag rereset ang bios.

You are left with no option but to replace cmos bat. Check also if bios is updated but before you flash the bios, replace cmos bat first. Msi are veery easy to dismantle, the lower cover usually goes off easily. Try also if you could access the bat without dismantling the chassis. Battery is usually 3v cr2032 heatshrink wrapped with dongle on connector. Check the net for model-specific dismantling procedure. Goodluck.

For laptops its usually in heat shrink wrapper glued on the chassis. For desktops, its in a surface-mount button cell battery holder.
