Button is good at keeping the tires in shape (as long as he's happy with the car), but for a driver like Vettel who's on full attack mode, we can't be sure if the results would be the same. As it was, Vettel almost had Hamilton, but he went just a tiny bit too wide when the opportunity presented itself.

    Too bad.

Too bad for Vettel. Suck it up, losers, this year belongs to Alonso! :hysterical: Won't even need a Piquet to win this one...
Tire is still a big player in that race. Everyone was watching their delta just to preserve the tire, depending a position or attacking is also not an option unless if you want to box every few laps.

What I mean is: Once the track is rubbered in, the softer tires will last longer than they did at the start of the race... which means that it's a good gamble to run a longer stint on soft tires at the end of the race than you would at the start.

Vettel of course, for once we saw a driver doing a race to the limit. We won't be seeing much of that this season unless Pirelli/Bernie change the tire compounds after Bahrain.

With FA's "angas" of a two-time champion in a Ferrari car, and MW(WDC wannabe)'s continuous entanglements with the Fingerman,- this is profound!

FA tweeted that first but deleted it, unfortunately the Ausiegrit re-tweeted it before FA was able to delete it.

That idiot ausie whiner must have forgotten this.

At the end of last year's campaign, Webber reportedly defied a Red Bull strategy to help teammate Sebastian Vettel beat Alonso to the 2012 title.
Indeed, Webber's own manager Flavio Briatore had observed afterwards: "The only one who helped Ferrari was Webber."
