Nobody wants a nuclear war. They call it mutually-assured destruction (MAD). The US and Russia alone have enough nukes to destroy humanity many times over.
If there is one country who is not afraid to use nuclear weapons, it is Israel. If you are in a region with no truely friendly neighbors, it pays to have the the biggest guns pointed to them and telling them you ain’t kidding.
