Tama ka, merong mga religious moderates at meron ding mga religious extremists. Pero iisa lang ang premise ng pagiisip nila: “That their religion is the one true religion; that their God is the one true God.” All fundamentalists, including suicide bombing jihadists rely on that same exact premise in order to carry out unconscionable acts of mass destruction and murder.

But a lot of people looks for some meaning in life.

Some may find that meaning in religion.

In religion, there is a diety. A supreme being. A God.

To answer the question, the difference lies in you. Nobody can impose it unto you. You may or may not believe in God. And it may or may not make in difference. Depends in your OWN perspective.

I don’t see the point in finding meaning in this current life with the belief that we will be given another one after we die. The more we believe that this is the only life that we’re given, the more we’re likely to make the most out of it.

One need only look at his family and friends to realize that there are many things that make our stay in this planet meaningful and inspiring. I don’t think that believing in the existence of a blissful afterlife brought about by a bronze age mythical figure contributes to that feeling anymore than thinking there’s a refrigerator-sized diamond in your backyard—it would both be great if it were true but absolutely no reason to believe that they actually are.
