If you read the Bible, you'll know his characteristics and you'll realize how different he is from what the other people convey who he is through their actions. If their actions are evil does it show who really their god is?

(Matthew 7:21) Really, then, right religion involves right motive, right belief, and right action. And right action means doing the will of God daily!—1 John 2:17.

Isn't the above clearly work of lawlessness?

The old bible is basically a book of Jewish mythology, written in a way that would make the Jewish culture superior over other race. At the time it was written, only a small portion of the world's cultures has been discovered. Heck they didn't even know the existance of the Chinese culture. The Bible's interpretation of the world is for the narrow minded...
