Perhaps people forget that world economic indicators also affect our domestic market?
Case #1: Why do you think the PSE dipped when the Federal Reserve announced that its QE was ending?,
Case #2: Why do you think oil companies hike their prices when the Brent shot up due to the Iraq crisis?

Because it all suits my argument? I don't mold world economic indicators. I tell them as facts and as a graduate of economics I tell what they actually mean as they trickle down. Because let's face it, nobody cares about the aggregate. Ask your typical worker kung may paki sila sa GDP and they'll say "paki ko lang malaki sweldo ko" while they picket outside the for "minimum wage hike".

to dismiss local economic indicators when we are talking about what Marcos did that plummeted our economy is umm... Absurd.

Yeah sure typical workers walang paki because they don't understand the effects until it's too late.

People seemed to forget that Marcos served 20 years including three terms as representative and his first term before his second and third term as President of 17 years.

We all remember martial law.. but martial law isn't the entire story.

I'd fire them all and get a new CEO, Manager, Supervisor, Janitor, etc, who will not steal from me and my investors. Why do I have to choose? I'm the Chairman right and I own majority of what's at stake.
