The country slipped into a recession due to containment measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The GDP shrank by 11.5 percent in the third quarter, a record 16.9 percent in the second quarter, and 0.7 percent in the first quarter as Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine in the middle of March.

Economic managers, through the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC), see a deeper contraction of 4.4 to 6.6 percent instead of two to 3.4 percent, followed by a recovery with a growth of 6.5 to 7.5 percent instead of eight to nine percent next year on the back of the Philippine economy’s solid fundamentals.

ING Bank sees remittances from overseas Filipino workers dropping between five and 10 percent this year, resulting in a decline of up to $3.1 billion in 2020 and 2021. The drop in OFW remittances is also expected to result in slower household spending.

“Household consumption delivers the bulk of Philippine economic output and we expect this sector to struggle given elevated unemployment, virus concerns and fading remittance flows,” Mapa said.

nag-aral ako jan malapit sa malacanang for 3months tapos nag-drop na ako lahat subjects. Minura ako ng papa ko nun kasi fully paid tapos ganun-ganun lang. Hindi ko kaya buhay jan masyado mabilis tapos commute pa ako nun grabe basang-sisiw laspag ako araw-araw. Ayaw naman nila ako magdorm kasi baka alam nyo na ano lang gawin ko nagdududa sa akin. Eh the land of the chicks ang mendiola. Mga skwelahan amoy panty liner. Dumadaloy sa hangin amoy ni modess at whisper.

siga kasi ako nung highschool hindi ako nagupcat. Sana nag sports science ako sa up diliman.

Seriously, the change in accounting standard for leases shows the real picture of the true debt of PAL on its recent aircraft purchases. Pero there is a way for them to restructure it. Question is - sinong banko willing magpapa utang?

i remember outside of dumaguete there's a big field of solar panels there. i wonder how well it's serving the population over yonder . mas mababa kaya kuryente nila? and fluctuation nila minimal?

nauna nga ang dumaguete, negros oriental sa ganyan. nadaanan ko iyan about 3 years ago nung nag road trip kami papuntang cebu. pero i'm sure mga ilan taon na din nag operate iyon.

i think nasa LGU din iyan kung interesado sila. sila na diskarte pag entice ng private company mag operate doon. hindi lang ako sure.

ok nga din sana renewable energy jan kasi madami naman malawak na open spaces pa. meron na ba windmill farm sa mindanao? parang may nabasa ata ako dati
