The BSP on September 7 announced that it has reactivated the non-deliverable forward (NDF) hedging facility or the CRPP to soothe demand pressures in the FX spot market from borrowers looking to hedge against future exposures and protection from further peso depreciation.

In a statement over the weekend, the BSP said the Monetary Board has approved last week an “enhanced” and updated CRPP guidelines.

BSP Governor Nestor A. Espenilla Jr. has said that they are studying more FX reforms but the timing is crucial amid a volatile exchange rate market. He also said that after reactivation of the CRPP, they are preparing “other tools” to discourage FX speculation which leads to excessive exchange rate volatility.

An unrestrained FX movement is one of the recognized potential price pressures by the BSP and they have been closely monitoring the continued weakening of the peso and its impact on inflation expectations which have remained elevated.

they're counting on larger $ inflow in Q4

hoping those who bought dollars earlier will sell as USDPHP weakens

hahaha... natawa ako sa comment mo doc...

di pa nga ako naka pag adjust sa inflation... last check ko sa cholest lagpas ng 23 sa desirable result... sarap kasi kumain, baka sa dec baba na itong cholest ko once nag 60 na ang usd... diet mode... currently, okay pa naman...

if and when the usd hits 60, we will simply shift from steak to pork chop. from salmon to danggit. from wagyu (huwag yun!) to monte rhey. from deli-mundo to purest foods. from starbucks to star buko.
from rich cholest to poor cholest.
but still cholest, for all biochemical intents and purposes.

yung isa nga sa mga hunghang eh nagmamadali pa na dapt 60 na nga raw agad eh, para body fit daw lahat kagaya niya .....
