    Read some stories on SC about Muslim students helping their Christian friends -- lending them long dresses, teaching them Muslim verses, not leaving their side while they fled.

    Residents in surrounding provinces handing out food to those fleeing the siege.

    Marami tayong sundalo namamatay sa mindanao nagsasakripisyo ng buhay nila para tayo mabuhay ng payapa kaya kung wala din lang kwenta sasabihin natin bigyan natin sila ng respeto at lakas ng loob para labanan ang mga teroristang nanggugulo satin hayaan muna natin matapos ang gulo eto bago tayo magtatahol..

    it's a good military strategy. use enemy forces to bsttle out a bigger enemy who's out to exterminate all. the npa themselves issued a statement na they will not allow innocent people to be executed na lang ng ganun ganun.

    in the time that the gov't forces took to regroup, they entrenched themselves within the city. Urban warfare is by far the hardest kind to fight...then there are the civilians caught in all that.
