The combination of the 6 digits plate number have been fully utilized

Using a 7 digits plate number increases the combinations available to accomodate the rising number of new cars plying the roads

    so leave existing plates alone

make new 7 digit plates for new cars LOCALLY

that local maker of 6-digit plates, di ba nila kaya gumawa ng 7 digit plates?

baket kelangan ipakontrata sa foreign company?

Tapos retrofit all the old cars.

    Bingo. $$$$$$$.

The single stupidest "modernization" move foisted upon us by the LTO.

And that admin left a problem so big no single LTO administration can ever fix it. It'll take years to fix the problem.

In the meantime, all those old presses... lying idle. Gone to waste.

    Ang galing.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Realistically a 6 year term can do that much.

Trillion underspent stayed in the national treasury is better than a huge chunk of it lining the pockets of corrupt officials by overspending with the underlying DEFICIT as an end result

Barcoded plate coupled with proper database keep the integrity of a plate better

Counterfeiters can copy a plate numbers easy, but now they have to contend with laser printing and database to match the numbers with the barcode

This makes counterfeiting of plate numbers more expensive. Any counterfeiters need to have access to laser printer to produce a seemingly legit plate
