From news reports I really don't see what changes ML did or is doing to Mindanao to make counter-terrorism more effective. Whatever they are doing now has been going on in Mindanao for decades. My opinion is he only did this to make a precedent and a trial balloon.

Martial law wont deter jihadist from crossing our porous border from sabah to tawi tawi and jolo.

For as long as our coast guard and navy are illequiped to patrol our maritime borders down south then these radicals will continue to slip in mindanao and spread their radical ideals like a wild fire

Martial rule will not even be effective in disarming various armed groups in mindanao for as long as its easy to smuggle weapons to mindanao via our southern borders

I thought this was a State of the Nation address. Eh parang State of Mind lang niya ang lumalabas sa bunganga niya ah. Wala pang nabanggit na update about sa Marawi, Martial Law, Endo, Economy, Transportation, War on Drugs, etc etc. Puro lang wento so far.... wala namang wenta.

Then he said in a jest that "buti pa ang mga daga hindi pinapatay, ung tao kinakatay". Not sure what he meant by that or probably another slip. Then 1 part he blurted "lulo`" which means masturbation when he talked about Singson. He reads the script hurriedly and proceed with the usual storytelling about his antics. Also he mentioned he went to jail when he was still a kid. Isnt a criminal record a disqualification to run for public office? But then again he could be joking.
