Agree here. There are people with vested interests who are hinged on having Duterts at the helm. They have a lot to lose so they will move heaven and earth with all their money and influence to make things work in their favor.

If there one thing, the die-hard friends I've had are already quiet. Perhaps some have realized they effed up and if that is the case I am saddened that they just shut up and will not stand up to fight for the wrongdoings. Blood has been spilled and our country has been weakened in foreign relations and our stand on issues with China. Nadehado tayo.

On who has the most to lose, Shadow put it right before: "Bahala kayo, Basta ako okay pa rin kahit sino ilagay niyo diyan".

We survived Asian crisis, erap and GMA. This psycho's time too shall pass.

My mindset now is I will never encourage foreigners to visit PH for the next 5.5 years either for pleasure or business.

Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno on Tuesday said it was unfair to use taxpayer’s money to subsidize the P2,000 pension increase for Social Security members (SSS).

“You contribute to that fund, okay and when you retire, you get benefits from that fund, okay. So given that perspective, I don’t think it is fair to say use the taxpayers’ money to subsidize the benefits of the pension members, the SSS members, right?” Diokno told reporters in a Palace briefing.

Militant lawmakers have urged President Rodrigo Duterte to sign a congressional resolution for the pension increase, insisting that it would not lead to bankruptcy.


But Diokno said it was also “unfair” to pass the burden to Duterte.

“You know, when you pass the buck and give it to the President, that to me is unfair for the President, okay,” he said.

The budget chief said SSS executives should find ways to increase the collection efficiency of the agency.

“There are many things like they can increase the collection efficiency. I understand some corporations have been indebted to SSS, maybe they could call on them, right,” he said.

During his term, former President Benigno Aquino III has vetoed the proposed bill providing for an increase in the pension of SSS members.

Diokno said it was unfair to give Duterte the same problem.

“To me, it’s unfair to give the problem to him. In fact, it’s unfair for Congress to have passed that law, which, as you know, President Aquino vetoed,” he said.

“It should not have reached the President’s desk. The Board of Trustees should have exercised leadership and say, ‘no, we cannot do it unless we do the following things,’ okay,” he added.

During the campaign period, Duterte promised he would grant the P2,000 pension hike for retired SSS members.

A report prepared by Dr. Natividad Dayan, former president of the International Council of Psychologists, concluded that Duterte was suffering from "Antisocial Narcissistic Personality Disorder,” a condition characterized by "gross indifference, insensitivity and self-centeredness," "grandiose sense of self-entitlement and manipulative behaviors" and "pervasive tendency to demean, humiliate others and violate their rights and feelings."

The assessment further showed that Duterte can be easily upset when his needs and desires were not met.

"Immediate gratification of his [Duterte's] needs and desires is always expected; any delay can upset him a great deal," the assessment said.

The psychological assessment also found Duterte capable of destructive behavior and has poor capacity for objective judgment.

"Such lack of self-discipline often leads him to engage in unhealthy or destructive behaviors. However, he is not apt to see his behaviors as such, and instead sees these as merely exciting and challenging," the assessment found.

“As it is, he has poor capacity for objective judgment. He fails to see things in the light of facts, or at least from the point of view of most people. He interprets his actions solely from his own viewpoint, which is blemished by his personal needs, biases and prejudices,” it continued.

Duterte also tends to rationalize and justify his wrongdoings, according to the psychological assessment.

“For all his wrongdoings, he tends to rationalize and feel justified. Hence, he seldom feels a sense of guilt or remorse.”

What bothers me is that jut seems to be right. The supporters are still suffering from mass delusion. One psycho I can take. But a whole nation of them? It is just hard to swallow.

"Eh baka naman kasi mga kriminal yung mga yan - snatcher o kaya holdaper. Kaya kahit papano lumilinis yung Pilipinas kasi pinapatay yung mga kriminal. Wala namang mabuting napapala sa mga ganyang tao."

She's not the first person I've encountered with that line of thinking. It's a very simple way of thinking, which is why many people subscribe to it.
