    ^ quote from above article:
Hawak ni PNP Chief Ronald Bato Dela Rosa ang isang piraso ng “Goodbye De Lima” nang bigla itong umuksok.

Mabilis na ibinato ni Dela Rosa ang paputok at saka siya tumakbong papalayo.

And his twisted definition of justice and the rule of law.

'Duterte added, the so-called collateral damage during police operations are normal, and that government forces may not be held criminally liable for the deaths of innocent civilians.'

I do remember nung 90s nang pinayagan umuwi ang mga Marcos ni Ramos, ang daming naglabasan na "Bagong Lipunan" bills na may pirma pa ni Marcos.

Been avoiding all the noise surrounding Duterte but it so happened that his interview with Lynda Jumilla was on TV over dinner.

All he says are machismo blanket statements but whenever he's probed to go deeper, all that comes out is fluff. And he definitely doesn't have the disposition to be President - too uncouth, does not decide based on objective facts and data, and ultimately I don't see any clear long-term vision for the country.

However, there's no use rambling about it. The only way he'll vacate the presidency early is if he dies or is ousted, both of which can cause economic instability for the Philippines.

I'm just bemused with the support that he still has with the populace. Save for isolated pockets here and there (like this forum), most people still support him unwaveringly, almost fanatically even. For those in the upper classes of society, it doesn't matter - they have all the security blankets to keep them economically comfortable no matter who's president. It's the marginalized that are really caught in the crossfire, but they don't seem to care. It's so hard to remain compassionate in this situation.

A user can fatally overdose within moments of snorting, injecting or swallowing the drug, authorities said.

One recovering addict said the drug is so powerful, he can no longer get high from heroin alone.
Fentanyl is worse than heroin, but since Duterte is infallible, noone bats an eyelash on the possible effects of his drug use on his decision-making. 💊💉

Number 1 source of instability and shame?

He can be forced to resign, like Erap. 5.5 years of his national mayoralty is unimaginable and simply immoral with 1,000 murders a month.

I will continue doing what I can to make sure this PIECE OF SH1T stops killing Filipinos.

Although I don't discount that there are fanatical supporters still, it's hard for me to believe the numbers are still the same given his string of greatest hits this year. Even simple people like my barber, grease monkey and mailman think he is insane. Beginning to think the surveys might be rigged.

From my experience, yes ordinary folk find the statements absurd, but support him wholeheartedly nonetheless.

At the end of the day, to them, Digong is still a Messiah and all the whimsical news reports are just distractions. Digong will follow through and eliminate criminality and corruption.

Funny because they somehow forgot that the biggest problem for the past century has been povert and have instead embraced the whole drug war hook, line, and sinker.

Agree here. There are people with vested interests who are hinged on having Duterts at the helm. They have a lot to lose so they will move heaven and earth with all their money and influence to make things work in their favor.

If there one thing, the die-hard friends I've had are already quiet. Perhaps some have realized they effed up and if that is the case I am saddened that they just shut up and will not stand up to fight for the wrongdoings. Blood has been spilled and our country has been weakened in foreign relations and our stand on issues with China. Nadehado tayo.

On who has the most to lose, Shadow put it right before: "Bahala kayo, Basta ako okay pa rin kahit sino ilagay niyo diyan".
