Personal talaga galit ni PDiggy kay D5. Matobato said they were on a position waiting to ambush the CHR delegates(D5 and team) who were tasked to investigate the quarry site where the alleged victims are burried. Luckily, the CHR team was delayed due to the warrant issue.

here are other points on Matobato's statement analyzed by Chito Lapitan:

So tumumpak yun pili ko.

    -

    Oh kita nyo sa botohan

Just in: De5 ousted in her own Committee [Senate Committee on Justice] by a vote of 16-4-2

The Liberal Party doesn't have the ability of the old Lakas to rig and win elections. The detractors of the "Student Council" can't have it both ways. They can't be extremely incompetent while in power while also being extremely Machiavellian while out of power.
Which only means, they will attribute "assassination attempts" to Liberal Party later. That's only, if they want to make the LP threat believable.

By the way, are there any Liberal Party members in tsikot? Baka mga liberated, pwede pa.

OT: I watched an interview of Maria Ressa with Ariel Querubin. It's funny Col. Querubin always call Maria Ressa, "Ressa". That's how Filipinos call Marias with 2 names, they are called by the 2nd name.

De Lima (and people who wants to know more) was outmaneuvered. So sad to see our institutions ended up like this.

De Lima ousted as Senate justice, human rights committee chair
16 voted to declare all positions of the committee vacant

SIXTEEN senators on Monday voted to declare the chairmanship and membership of the Senate committee on justice and human rights vacant.

The committee is chaired by Senator Leila de Lima, who initiated the Senate probe on the alleged extrajudicial killings in the country under the Duterte administration.

Only four senators voted against a motion to declare all positions of the committee vacant. Two abstained. The members of the minority bloc headed by Senator Ralph Recto did not participate in the voting.

Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III immediately elected “reluctant” Senator Richard Gordon to replace De Lima as chair of the committee.
Bad move by the senate, they should just let De Lima's investigation exploded on her face if they think Matobato is not a credible witness.

    Next stop lower house sarsuela.

Oh cue in the international media picking this up. EJK investigation shut down by the Philippine Senate. Good job politicians.

    -

Masking tape?

People built of lesser stuff would just go with the flow. De Lima was very successful on her career, I'm pretty sure she could retire early. She could have also just kept her election lawyering career moving and enjoy her life. But the lady senator I think is made of sterner stuff, that's her curse.

Yes, it looks like Filipinos are OK with the current administration. But I'm sure, there are Filipinos who are not. Some are thinking of ways on how to "stabilize" the nation. Some are planning to leave to "goddamned land". Some will just grudingly wait for 6 years to end (if it ever will).

Trillanes' remark to Cayetano should be addressed to all Filipinos. "Ano? Natutupad na ba mga pangarap nyo?" (paraphrased).
