“And ako I will for as long as it is done in the performance of as duty by the soldier and the police, akin yan that is my official and personal guarantee. I will answer for the deed. Punta ka sa akin, kung sino kesehoda gusto mag-usap tayo,” ayon pa kay Duterte.

Itinanggi rin niya na sangkot ang mga pulis sa pagtatanim ng mga ebidensiya.

“Basta sabihin mo, pag may pulis diyan nag engkwentro wag nyo imbestigahan yan. Order ko yan. Maniwala kayo yang pulis na yan hindi yan pinaplant,” sabi ni Duterte.

May mensahe rin si Duterte sa mga isinasangkot sa droga.

“Kung mabuhay pa ko huwag nyo akong bullshitin maghanap na lang kayo ng kasalanan huwag yan siguro mamatay kayo,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
    Mabuhay po kayo panginoon!

    Parang masarap maging pulis ngayon

Too much power being given to them by the President.

i know ABS-CBN was the first to break the story on social media, but then other media outfits also reported the same info...alangan naman nagkopyahan lang sila?

Faeldon on Mocha post: It’s a joke

According to Faeldon’s chief of staff, Mandy Anderson, the BOC chief mentioned Uson’s appointment as social media consultant in response to a reporter’s question.
“But (Faeldon) had said it in jest,” Anderson said of Uson’s appointment. “The commissioner took it back, saying he was just kidding, but the report on the ‘appointment’ had already been posted online.”
He added: “No papers are being prepared. Commissioner Faeldon did not sign any paper regarding Mocha’s appointment.”

Apparently she plans to visit DOH, etc to bring the concerns of the netizens to their attention. Like some self-proclaimed ambassador of the InterWeb.

And all this time i thought the whole point of social media was so that the masa could air their concerns without going through channels -- you know, the same way they expressed their like/dislike of her false appointment. Silly me.

Duterte addressing soldiers in Cebu. He has promised to double their salaries by December. i'm not against the idea per se, but i'm interested to know where he plans to get the money. If he goes back on his word, that would demoralize our soldiers.

There were rumors that he was thinking of scrapping the AFP Modernization plans, specifically the 2 bidded-out frigates to fund the salaries. Good thing saner minds prevailed (at least on the frigates).

I think what they want is to group provinces in such a way that a province in a state can lift other provinces in the same state. Kumbaga sa basketball team may magaling dapat bawat team, kung bokya lahat ng provinces sa isang state eh mapagiiwanan ang state.

Businessman Roberto V. Ongpin has stepped down as chair and director of gaming firm Philweb Corp. following President Duterte’s threat to bring down “oligarchs” pinpointing the businessman.

Ongpin quit his post in Philweb and all subsidiaries effective immediately, based on a resignation letter submitted to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Thursday.

Shares of Philweb slid by 36.88 percent on Thursday following the strong statement issued by Duterte.

Mr.Duterte also indicated earlier on plans to crackdown against online gaming businesses.

Philweb operates e-Games stations or internet cafes exclusively dedicated to casino games including baccarat, blackjack, various slot machine games, video poker and others. Most e-Games cafes operate on a 24/7 basis.

Banking regulators on Friday imposed the single biggest monetary penalty on an erring financial institution in the country’s history, slapping the Yuchengco family-controlled Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) with a P1-billion fine in the wake of the Bangladesh Bank cyberheist.

In a statement issued late Friday, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said the penalty represents “the largest amount ever approved as part of its supervisory enforcement actions on a BSP-supervised financial institution.”

“The Monetary Board approved the imposition of supervisory enforcement action on RCBC to pay the amount of P1 billion in connection with the special examination conducted by the BSP,” the central bank said.

3 narco-mayors surrender to ‘Bato’ | The Manila Times Online

THREE POLITICIANS from Lanao del Sur surrendered to the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame on Friday, just hours after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered law enforcers to “shoot on sight” local government officials involved in illegal drugs.

The PNP chief, Director General Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa, told reporters Mayor Mamaulan Abinal Molok of Maguing town and former mayor Ali Abinal of Marantao town had received information that they were on Duterte’s list of 27 “narco-politicians.”

Hmm so we'll end up with one state subsidizing a poorer state then. OK sana kung super yaman yung isa, what if they only have enough funds for its own state?
