    Lance Gokongwei...

    The source privy to Duterte’s transition team bared that the five contenders for Cabinet positions in the Duterte administration are:

    1. Ed O. Chua, chairman of the Shell Companies in the Philippines, as Department of Energy secretary;

    2. Rogelio “Babes” Singson, currently secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways, as Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) secretary;

    3. Former International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics director-general William Dar, as Department of Agriculture secretary;

    4. V. Bruce J. Tolentino, currently deputy director-general of the International Rice Research Institute, as director-general of the National Economic and Development Authority; and

    5. Business magnate, investor, and philanthropist Lance Gokongwei as Department of Finance secretary.

    RE: Robredo: The timing is not suspicious if you were actually paying attention to the state of election returns (which I was). Leni's bulwark is in the south. They transmitted later due to service interruptions and other issues. Her resurgence in later counting was already predicted by her strategy team at the start of canvassing, when Marcos got that huge surge of votes early on because of early transmittal from Ilocos.

    If there really was cheating, bring on the smoking gun and demand a recount. Or at least an analysis of the purported "ñ" script inserted by Smartmatic midcount. Which was indeed strange, amateurish and worth investigating.

    RE: Drilon: Are you asking how one of the most recognized politicians in the Philippines, who hails from the south, managed to beat a candidate nobody really knew about before the election on the basis of votes from the south? Really?

    Surveys can point at trends, but the situation on the ground can and will change come election time.

    I think it's worth noting that De Lima still got more votes than Mar.

    The DepEd have always been a good platform to launch a political career from, if you're so inclined. Roco used his popularity as Secretary of Education before to gun for the Presidential seat.

    I think people will now be eyeing the TESDA with similar appreciation of what it can do for a candidate. But of course, the guy/girl will have to deliver if they expect to translate the position to votes.

    A little bit of Arroyo, a little bit of PNoy... Hontiveros in the Cabinet, Leni in the Cabinet, Gibo in the Cabinet.

    This is going to be an interesting administration.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Big businesses always have people / connections in government to protect their interests regardless of who's the President.

    CPP won't accept without peace agreement first.

    Digong's way of further sowing division with the leftist groups?

    I think it's the opposite. He will not sow division from the leftist. Pinapalakas niya para kapag inaway siya Legislative branch revolutionary gov't agad.

    Local ordinance lang pwede na yun mga sinabi eh. Hinde na kailangan intindihin ng presidente mga videoke, curfew and drinking in public place.

    Tapos yun mga taxi drivers dapat lagi may panukli, sana sabihan niya SM.

    Kasama na dyan ang curfew para sa minors at ang streamlining ng business permit application. Ewan ko nga ba sa mga fanatics ni Digong, na punta ata sa pwet ang utak ng mga yan.
