I will make sure my accuser will eat his words/lies.

Pero kung meron talagang tinatago. Yan ang style. "Burden of proof nasal accuser" "lies, fake"

Yes, i agree that it doesn't matter pero d kc maalis ung ganon perception. If his source is credible and he can name it then that's the time he should answer it. Even me bbaligtad ako pag d nya sinagot un. I'll be the first one to question him.

You assumed I readily believed trillanes about Binay? When trillanes had an expose with VP binay I did not immediately believe him. It was the ospital ng makati overpriced purchase of medical beds and supplies that convinced me that he is corrupt. And it also helps that I know few people in osmak. And it also helps that I watch the senate investigation. It took awhile before I believed all those allegation against Binay as true.
You read again my post. Did I use the word "READILY" or the word "IMMEDIATELY"?

If you believe that excel-form paper without bank signature nor bank heading nor bank confirmation, its your decision not mine. Ask yourself if you are not bias. As for me, Ill wait for more evidence before jumping into conclusion.
Why would I not? We have the same cause as Senator Trilllanes. We belong to the same party. Yes, I am bias to him. You, you are nothing but blindly bias to Mayor Duterte. That is all there is to it. Do you understand?

so duterte changed his mind? or just his spokeperson?

Leading presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte is considering filing charges against Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV for his claims that the tough-talking Davao City mayor did not declare P211 million in his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

In a statement to the media on Thursday, Peter Laviña, Duterte’s spokesperson, said the mayor’s legal experts are looking into possible cases that can be filed against Trillanes.

Lt. Senior Grade Antonio Trilllanes is not a hired gun of anybody. He is made of sterner stuff unlike you. If this Intel info came out last year in middle of his exposè against VP Binay, he would not think twice to do it against Mayor Duterte. Logic also will tell you if he had it earlier, he is not stupid to wait for the time when the presidency is only a striking distance from where Mayor Duterte is.
How can you take that away, 2 weeks away from election and he is leading by 2 digits. I mean d mo maalis ung ganon perception. If he tell his source and credible, there's no way out for digong but to answer this allegation.

    Not his spokesperson.

“Not anymore. I’ll make it difficult for Trillanes. It’s just a piece of paper. You prove it. Why will I give it to him? I’ll take the waiver and I will tell him, ‘Prove it. I will not make it easy for you. I will not play into your hands. You prove it,’” Duterte told reporters in a mix of Filipino and English in an ambush interview on the sidelines of the Presidential Dialogue with the Makati Business Club on Wednesday.
And how in the world is this possible?

“Maniwala kayo (Believe me). That’s garbage. You can check with the bank. You go there,” said Duterte.

i agree with you on this one, bok. at this time where nothing seems to bring down digong (the mainstream media call him a teflon candidate) and it seems the presidency is his for the taking, trillanes' expose is too late. also, if this is not true, trillanes is taking a huge gamble, practically putting his neck on the line-- by doing that, he is earning the ire of the president-in-waiting, who is allegedly notorious to take the law into his own hands.

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday confirmed that he has a BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) account on Julia Vargas Avenue in Pasig City.

The presidential aspirant challenged Vice Presidential bet Antonio Trillanes IV to execute an affidavit on how and where he obtained the data claiming that Duterte has more than P200 million in the BPI account.

noitimed, leodev. I'm sorry guys but your views on Trillanes expose are so naive.

    1. Let's have a review of some relatively recent events.
    a. Corona trial. A little lady sent a congressman transaction details of Corona bank accounts. Source remained nameless. Details were sent to Ombudsman. Ombudsman requested AMLC for information. Leaked information was verified to be accurate.
    b. Binay. Trillanes gave a list of Binay's bank accounts. His source remained anonymous. It's now with Ombudsman. If Binay lose, he will be in jail. Leaked information, again, was verified to be accurate.
    c. Duterte. Trillanes gave a list of transactions. His source will remain anonymous. It will be forwarded to Ombudsman, etc.. They just denied the existence of the accounts and if caught, they will come out with excuses, as what Binay and Corona did.

These are just the accounts under Duterte's name.

See the pattern? It's how it's done. It will be that way now. Obviously, the source has to be protected as he/she may be indicted.

    2. On the matter of timing. It is election related, no need to speculate. I don't see that as a problem. Aren't you glad people still have a chance to decide whether they still want to vote for Duterte? You cannot blame Trillanes on this, it looks like he was just given the information recently, you need to find somebody else to blame.

All Duterte has to do is sign a valid waiver, how hard is that?

Edit: Apparently, the account exists. A complete reversal of Duterte's spokesperson's statement yesterday. What's next? Honest mistake? We'll just amend the SALN?

In front of the media, Roxas also signed the notarized affidavit of transparency authorizing the Office of the Ombudsman and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to scrutinize all his accounts.
Roxas also waived all his rights and privileges to bank secrecy under the Bank Secrecy Law. The affidavit of transparency will cover all his accounts starting from the year he first assumed office in government.

It's still the law and no one is above it.
