because politicians are generally beholden to their party and therefore more often than not prioritize the appointments, authored bills, projects, etc of their party mates.

So True. not just party mates but groups who helped them win elections.
To win elections you need to make alliances and deals with groups that may not necessarily be the cleanest but may help you win the seat.

well, i'm definitely not voting for anybody running under the kbl, pdp-laban, hnp , or fpf party. for me, it's part of the vote vetting process.

They are reserving the pres candidacy of Lakas for Sara Duterte.
