Im aware that this is a middle/upper middle class echo chamber but its nice to see the strong support for her.

But Robredo has to pivot her campaign towards the "masa" in order to win.

Ang biggest concern ko sa lahat ng Leni campaign movements - everyone acts like White Man’s Burden - as if the “masa” are a group of ignorant people that need saving.

Subliminally it shows - “your choice is wrong and Leni is the only right choice” even the #DapatsiLeni hashtag is so prescriptive/elitist.

That only fosters tribalism and divisiveness. It’s very important to acknowledge their own agency and free will.

Duterte won because he represented or took up the cudgels for the oppressed. Past Presidents in history have always been elitist & there is a belief amongst the masses that Presidents existed to serve the needs of the elite. Evidence is the gap between the elite & the poor is getting bigger. Digong is a slap on the faces of the elitist & he showed it in the beginning of his tenure. Unfortunately, he was just replacing the traditional elite with the new elite, mostly from Davao. Majority of those who put him in power is in the D crowd & these are the ones Leni should woo. The D crowd are those common employees like sales ladies, Security Guards & so on while the E crowd are the marginalized people, the ones Dugong brands as communists, drug addicts. Mas malawak ang D.

The problem is the customer wants instant gratification without having to work for it. The proverbial juan tamad waiting for the apple to fall. Customer wants more money and good food without having to exert much effort and following the proper norms. Customer wants instant justice - ejk and regional tulfo court - over the rule of law. It is the culture of corruption that has brainwashed the minds of the voters to think that it is better to choose a government that will share its loot to the people instead of only the few elites.

Why blame those who choose decency, ethics and good governance for the twisted and corrupted morals of others?
