Patay na yun. In the Philippines, it’s “there they go….” but in the US, it’s “& they’re off….”

This thread is bound to be toxic but, no insults & personal attacks. It’s either the admins close this (sayang naman) or you get suspended or banned (most likely)

    Well said.
Each of you have your own preference.
Being challenged by those who view the opposite is part of the allure of political talks/debate but like you said should be within the guidelines of the forum.

Haha parang buffet! I guess this is better than a 2 party system which can really divide a nation.

Which is better, to divide or to fragment?

I always thought that a 2 party system is better. Dito kasi, multi party. The Philippines is also very clannish, very regional. Fragmented to start with. Kaya no one wins by majority, always by plurality.

But if our system is flawed, so is the US with their Electoral College. There is a bit of comfort in that thought.

Sasalain pa nang Comelec yan. Maraming nuisance. Si Abella isa na dun.
Si Bato, kundi lang guard dog ni dugong, nuisance rin yan.

... before the comelec strikes down the names of the so-called 'nuisance candidates' .

it depends on one's point of view.
there is a reason why it came to exist, in the first place.

Looks like the Dutete party has a hard time getting aspirants... Pati si Harriet Roque chickened out. Since wala si Sara, wala silang masanadalan...

I prefer a multiparty system but a President must have a majority. If no one gets a majority, there should be a faceoff for the top 2 candidates.

Mali pala ako. Sara cannot sub for Bato since Bato filed under the PDP-Laban & Sara is HNP. Tama ba?

Ang understanding ko naman sa sinabi ng Comelec yesterday basta a candidate who’s not yet a member of the party yet nag member prior sa deadline for substitution may still be replaced from the party he/she belongs.

Stupid talaga since may workaround for strategy. Puro self serving policies in placed.

For me only justifiable is kung namatay or ailing yung nominated candidate ng party.

Senador nga si bato hindi mo seseryosohin, as presidential candidate pa ba?
