I don't think this will work well on diesels, as they're not built to rev too high.
The reason this is good for gasoline engines is that the oil is thin and hard revving will circulate more of it to the top of the engine. This heats up the oil a bit and removes build-up on the valvetrain.
This also helps clean out deposits in the combustion chamber and on the injectors or carburator. Actually, this is especially good for carbs, as they get dirty more easily.
Again, do it in a safe environment, under load (not while parked, you'll overheat for sure!) on a cool day or at night, on the highest octane you can buy, and make sure your engine and cooling system are up to the task and don't over-rev, otherwise all this will do is break something.

hanggang anong rpm kaya pwede ung lxi? san the best mag shift? usually 6500 ako nag shishift pag hinahataw ko. e wala pang redline un, so gagawin k mga 7k?

it is safer, less wear on your tires and more economical if you use fuel detergent (if available) or visit your local shop that uses carbonkleen equipment. long before, we did make the engine ingest a small dosage of water at around 2000 rpm when the engine is already at operating temperature. we made the water go through the pcv hose. the rapid quenching of the carbon buildup loosens it up and out the exhaust system it went
