Medyo kinakabahan ako sa BR-V ko ah.
Hindi pa naman po approved yung pagpapalit ng transmission pero yun na ang sinabi nung dealer namin so we are just waiting for the approval ng head office or kung sino man sa higher ups. We have high hopes na maayos nila or else magiingay talaga kami. Been reading a lot of complaints ng cvt failures for honda 2017 pero sa usa yun so not sure if the same issue also applies to us (definitely hindi kasi ibang bansa). Though may nakita ako kaparehas ng issue namin, I think sa HRV naman siya (usa) Di naman po ako expert pero the way I see it masyado pong maaga para magkaron ng failure yung transmission knowing na sinusunod po namin ang maintenance. Sana nga isolated lang to hopefully di mangyari sa mga bagong labas na cvt transmission ng honda after nila umabot ng 60k+km![]()
Yes po, we just thought nung umpisa na baka nga biglang nagloko transmission dahil kulang na sa fluid or whatsoever. Turned out na defect pala kaya ganun. Pero after neto we are thinking na agahan na lamg siguro palit ng fluid. Or maghahanap ibang opinion about it, kasi with the condition here sa pinas sa traffic, etc. baka naapektuhan din yun.

If you've seen how CVTs & their belts are constructed, you'll know why the trusted techs won't recommend this tranny to those who plan to keep their cars long term.

Mukhang isolated ito kasi wala namang widespread na reklamo given na 4 years na sa market yung current city.
Yes, mukhang isolated case naman. Have been doing thorough research so far nasa 10 or less than 10 pa lang ang ganyang issue na nappost sa internet sa buong mundo.
Oh man. And I thought that this was limited only to those Jazz and City 2004-2008(?).
And that Honda did an engineering overhaul of their CVT transmission and so they put it back again on their new models.
Hoping that it is just an isolated case....
Else, no one will trust CVT(that's me), especially from Honda.
