    I drove Expeds before and even with a light foot, it still consumes nearly twice as much fuel as a 1.6-liter car. This big SUV is a born guzzler no matter what.

    Going back to the topic, there's both positive and negative feedback on this KHAOS thingie. In other sites/forums I visited, some people said this device actually improved their cars' performance. So far, only one person has said KHAOS slowed down his car.

    We are still in the midst of confusion here.

    just to share my experience so far with KHAOS...
    so far, their claim on the gas savings is really effective. i really do save around 25% on my consumption upon installation.
    8-9km/l without khaos to 10.21-13.27km/l with khaos.
    i think the offer they had on the 'money back guarantee' is something we could look into. they also guarantee extended lifespan of the engine.
    in my case, don't realy know much on tech side of the engine so i just based my car performance on the fuel consumption. i do consider this as good investment.
    again, it is still your choice to try and not to try the product. thanks!

    under what testing conditions are these numbers from? I could always claim my car does 10-12km/L under normal driving conditions (and it can)... and thats without khaos. My engine mod is a K&N cone filter.

    Who and by what principle of their device's function does that "extends" the lifespan of the engine? Some jeepney driver/mechanic or what?

    These are some interesting effects of a lean burn in a standard engine:

    -High Temperature - this causes higher than normal operating temperatures. This can lead of your engine overheating. This WILL also result in your motor oil to degrade quicker than it normally would. This will lead to MORE oil changes ... not less.

    -Pre-Ignition - This occurs when a point within the combustion chamber becomes so hot that it becomes a source of ignition and causes the fuel to ignite before the spark plug fires. This, in turn, may contribute to or cause a detonation problem. Instead of the fuel igniting at the right instant to give the crankshaft a smooth kick in the right direction, the fuel ignites prematurely (early) causing a momentarily backlash as the piston tries to turn the crank in the wrong direction. This can be very damaging because of the stresses it creates. It can also localize heat to such an extent that it can partially melt or burn a hole through the top of a piston!

    -Detonation - (also called "spark knock") is an erratic form of combustion that can cause head gasket failure as well as other engine damage. Detonation occurs when excessive heat and pressure in the combustion chamber cause the air/fuel mixture to autoignite. This produces multiple flame fronts within the combustion chamber instead of a single flame kernel. When these multiple flames collide, they do so with explosive force that produces a sudden rise in cylinder pressure accompanied by a sharp metallic pinging or knocking noise. The hammer-like shock waves created by detonation subject the head gasket, piston, rings, spark plug and rod bearings to severe overloading.

    maybe its time to get a third party expert opinion? You did say you are NOT knowledgable on the tech side of engines.

    I hope you have considered that money back offer they are offering or that you are saving up on a replacement engine when the one you have now starts to show premature internal failure.

    robbing people of their hard earned money. think of those pyramid schemes that has duped thousands of people.

    ghosthunter, so far here's what we got from the dealer. regarding lean-rich mixture...

    "at minimal vacuum (2inHg) the mixture po is always correct at any state of your engine, be it idle or high speed or anywhere in between. that means its neither rich nor lean. lagi lang pong tama as shown during actual installation kasi the 2 inHg is maintained no matter how high/low the rev speed is.

    Look at it the other way, (without the device) you have a high reading of 17-21 inHg at idle speed and varies from 17 - 35 inHg (35 inHg occurs at engine breaking at high speeds) depending on the state of your engine. Meaning at any instance of idle state, you have very, very, very rich mixture! "

    i hope you or other experts here could enlighten me on this one. coz i really don't know if the 2inHg is really a good figure.
    i just saw the actual demo when they measured the vacuum reading on my car before (17.5inHg) and after(2inHg) the installation.
