good day mga ka-vanette!
may question lang ako about sa CorrectRecommended Tire PSI pressure sa 96 vanette.
naka 195/50 R16 84V kasi gamit ko.. di ko sure kasi ang correct PSI. for now nasa 30 PSI tire ko, sabi sa driver seat side note ko pag original tiremags na 14R pede kahit 34PSI. ano po ba ang recommended mga sir? any tips kasi mukhang malambot tire ko lagi kasi nga naka 16 mags

Bro.,- you can use 34PSI. That should be no issue.

Personally, I am using 30PSI para hindi masyadong matagtag....

Nakabili po kami ng Vanette 2 weeks ago to carry the family around, pre-loved one and we are thrilled.

We are based in HK and nakita na namin yung pictures and we like what we see, just in time for our holiday around July-August.
Now here comes the desire to customize the vehicle.

Heto po ang question ko.
If I buy aftermarket rims/mags for it what specs should i talk about, same with the tires.
Do i really need to buy car insurance as well now that im an owner of a vehicle?

I suggest you use the OEM specs for the tyres and mags. You can try a package with different specs. However, I suggest that you have them mounted first to see how they will look like with the van.

I doubt it if you can still engage a comprehensive insurance with our Vanette. Normally, they only insure vehicles less than 10 years old.

I agree with CVT on retaining the OEM rim/tire specs of your Vanette. Keep in mind that aside from the main purpose of the purchase to move the family around during vacation here but also to keep the van's passenger COMFORTABLE. You can maximize this by keeping the specs stock. At the most, you could replace the rims with the updated rims of the Vanette using the Grand Coach rim design. This way, you keep it stock specs but "upgrade" its looks.

As for the insurance, there are still some insurance firms who cover past 10-year old vehicles with added premium to it. My '83 240D is still insured.

For my Vanette baby,- am using semi-synthetic oil of Shell. Dapat ito every 5KKm, but I seldom hit this mileage in a year, as the Vanette is sparingly used. So, I do oil change every year (after 3TKm or so)....

Accessible ito sa may area ng battery compartment.... Mayroon doong takip sa may left side ng battery/coolant compartment to your left na puwede mong buksan para ma-access mo ang carburetor....

Mga sirs, is there a way ba na para mapalitan ang jettings ng carb ng vanette to something smaller kasi medyo nahalata ko lumalakas na naman sa gas ang van ko So far so good naman at dependable parin ang baby vanette ko. Happy holidays na din to all vaneteers natin and more power.

Nice pre loved unit you have!! With the conduction stickers on it attached!!

The rims? Use the stock one first then try to find rims from late 1995-1998 Vanettes or jackpot, rims from the Grand Vanette!! Tires? Sundin mo yung stock.

Car Insurance?? Insurance companies dont allow vehicles more than 10 years old to be insured. Be a safe driver.
