I agree that this may probably be causing it. Mukhang natso-choke ang paglabas ng gasolina.....

Just found out this morning that Caltex now offers only Gold (pure gasoline) and E10 Silver... Nawala na ang Silver (pure gasoline)....

Anyway, Gold naman ang pinakakarga ko sa Vanette....

Where did you have it checked and what parts are you using? If its OEM parts then it can be plausible but if you're using replacement parts, go for a second opinion. You'll also save more by canvassing for parts on your own; try going to Youngbros in Banawe, JAISI near E.Rod/Araneta intersection, Advance in Pasay - Taft, etc...

cvt, sa ngayon ok na ulit yung vanette ko. it's been two weeks now of observation and verification...confirmed ko na rin yung culprit. i got different case of trouble. nasa ignition system yung problema and it was induced by mechanical failure of distributor. yung unstable movement ng tachometer is caused by worn out breaker plate bearing, kaya pabagobago ang idle speed and until mamatay na sya sometimes on idling..then yung biglang namamatay while cruising is dahil sa offset pala yung alignment ng rotor sa distributor cap contacts. yung misalignment ay dahil sa nagpalit ako ng arm ng vacuum advancer dati pa..mga 3 year ago na because nasira na yung una pa..leaky na yung canister..ibang vacuum canister yung pinalit ko kaya pinahinangan ko lang ng ibang arm..medyo napahaba kya na-offset yung rotation ng breaker plate. since na bago yung rotor and cap before, nakakatalon pa yung high voltage between contacts and nung mapudpod na, lumaki na yung gap..this now resulted to misfiring and stalling...when i repaired the old distributor, i got good response so last saturday bumili na ako ng surplus sa banawe...so ngayon stable na ulit yung van. sa ngayon xcs gamit ko na fuel...E10 is bad for local parts..yung pickup screen nung bago kong fuel pump e na-deformed at natanggal sa pump dahil lumuwag..buti binunot ko ulit yung pump for checking kya nakita ko..ikinabit ko ulit yung lumang original..anyway mga vanette owners, salamat sa mga inputs and tips about troubleshooting, great help satin lahat to.. safe driving to all.

If you're in Banawe, a shop that can do the repairs is Wheelers Suspension Haus.

Try checking also with the Nissan CASA like Mantrade if they have any old stock Vanette parts. There are times they put old stock up on sale.
