More than the concern on fuel efficiency, Vanettes, particularly for models 1993-1995, were problematic due to OVERHEATING issues (no radiator shroud). But if the one you're looking at is a 1998 model, that should be already fine.

Again, a trusted technician's opinion is suggested prior to any purchase. Better to be safe than sorry bro.

The most that I can get from my 1998 Vanette on highway driving is around 7.5Km/L.... But they say that I have a heavy (right) foot, (indeed).

Frankly, 10kms/liter on a 2.0L carb engine is a tough feat. But Hey! Who am I to make general assumptions.... basta well maintained and isang sasakyan (regular PMS) at tamang pagmamaneho (no jack rabbit starts, timely gear shifts and a cool head) you may just achieve this feat!

But on the safe side, hitting 8-9 kms/liter would be more than satisfactory.

Agree there bro..... However, I am already resigned to the fact that I am that kind of guy who can only achieve 7.5Km/L on highway driving of our 1998 Vanette.....

guys, tagal ko di ginamit ung van, about 3weeks na din yata. pag-start ko kahapon ng morning, medyo hard starting na, di na sia one-click gaya dati. ano kaya cause nito?
