meron din maingay na bakal to bakal na sound ung pickup dati. bushing nga din ung pinaltan. yung sa amin naman pag full turn right lang.

yung maingay na tumatama na bolt na may cover na plastic (stopper bolt sa pagliko)...ang solusyon ko dyan eh...ALISIN KO NGA....

now I don't have to worry about the ingay and replacement na napakamahal (tig P190 or 290 yata isa nun sa CASA)...ang side effect lang nag-ra-rub ang isang gulong ko when i do a full turn kasi malaki yung gulong ng elite...pero dun sa standard walang effect...gumanda pa turn radius nito.

naku mga peeps I just had a go from my boss...isa-swap ko na yun frontier ko dun sa dmax namin na spare...huhuhu...di nako makaka istambay sa frontier group (OA ba?! )

Ang dami ko ring natutunan dito sa frontier...

LIFTING RIDE HEIGHT (low budget style)
baka alam nyo na (pero para na lang ito sa mga hindi familiar)...yun standard na fronty can be adjusted pa ang height by an inch through the T-bar adjustment para tumaas ng kaunti sa harap...yung likod bili ka ng new shackles na mahaba ng 1.5" ang space ng butas. COST OF LIFTING THIS WAY P300-1500 - price ng new shackles and labor for Tbar adjusment

(medium budget style)
BODY LIFT option...spacers na 1 to 2 inches lang para walang major changes. Above 2 inches medyo marami ng babaguhin ng mountings and bibili ka nang bagong hose (brake and fuel)...P7,000 to 10,000.

(high budget style)
CALMINI brand have a lifting kit - A-arms sa 4x2 pero around P30,000 yata ang aabutin to order sa internet and ship it here (parang US$250 yung A-arm). Labor sa replacement siguro aabutin ng P3,000.

Sino alam nyo na gumagawa ng look-alike ng fender flares ng 4x4/titanium na mura lang? Mahal sa CASA halos P25k or P35k yung binangit sa akin dati.

The Bosch lights can be found if you go door-to-door in Banawe or shops along Malugay amongst some. They’re also sold in some stores at the mall (Bosch shop in Shang) but it’ll be more expensive.

On the headlight upgrade, you have to have relays, thicker wirings and ceramic sockets installed. Have a good electrical shop do the work (i.e. Reys or Wizzard) since hassle masiraan ng headlights talaga. Wizzard will charge around 1.3K to 1.4K for the whole work (no bulbs yet, but they do sell bulbs at a reasonable price). There are also plug-and-play kits available at some auto supplies.

Yung ingay ng cone type wont be as loud as a jeepney but you can say it is louder then when you put a copne-type on a gas engine… it can still be bearable.

I just had my new bed cover installed yesterday… nice. Now I think I have to raise my rears a bit (maybe around ¼ to ½ of an inch) since the front T-bars are already cranked up (had it done for free when i got my wheel alignment work done); I’m not sure about this but it seems the ride quality of the front improved when I raised it a bit and had the KYB gas shocks, probably due to the increased suspension travel along with the better damping.

kung 3 out of 4 sa 2003 ang meron problem sa compressor before reaching 2 years old baka ng factory defect yun...

Sayang nga yugn 2003 models wala ng ung heater ng A/C system....

BTW 109 kung type mo low priced you can always get a Frontier Standard...upgrade mo na lang tires to 15" rims...eto na pinaka mura na presyo....yung friend ko na ahente ng Nissan Balintawak gives me out a P40,000 discount whenever we buy a pick up from him (para sa office)...

Sa standard ang amenities lang naman na nawala ay yung power windows, lock, sideview mirrors and antenna...all of which pede naman mong mai-upgrade latter on (marami na rin sa Capalanga nun by this time).

Just to clarify it,
3 out of 4 units that we purchase for the year 2003 ang nasiraan na ng compressor.

Also for the discount mababa pa ang 40k na discount. We were able to get as much as 80K.

wildthing meron ka na ba fender flares. Yun titanium wala po 4x4. Gusto ko nga magswap ng pang 4x4 na flares, pang titanium yun flares ko. Ang nagmanufacture nito ay carryboy

kaso baka hindi ko na iupgrade muna kasi baka matuloy ang swap ko to dmax

Salamat vinj. I called Wizzard already, 1,360K un cost for the wiring upgrade. Meron sila Narva(880php/pair) & OSRAM(480php/pc.), parehong 90/100W All Weather Bulb. OK din ba to? Or Phillips talaga ang maganda para maiwasan un darkening nun headlight? Medyo mahal ang headlight cleaning nila, 680php for the pair. Try ko na din maghanap ng Bosch foglights para isang trabaho na lang gawin nila.

Actually, I would highly recommend the medium lift - BODY LIFT na around P7-10k...just do at most 2" body lift para hindi pa major ang modifications sa radiator and other hose (brake line and fuel line). When you do this and then upgrade your tires to a 31" (or even a 33") diameter tires...halos 4x4 na ang ride height mo.

Sa 33" inch tires baka nga lang bumagal ang ride mo ng kaunti at hindi na ganun ka accurate ang speedometer.

Yup, it is originally set higher with the 2.7E models and up (which had 15" tires standard), my problem was the Nissan Mechanic who was doing an alignment job under warranty some years ago cranked it lower; i basically had it lifted back to the original height. The thing is my rears have reversed molye and the bedcover is heavy so it goes slightly lower then the front when i put some stuff on it but it's not that noticeable though unless you really look at it very well.

Lemon, i got the Carryboy cover... matte black finish. I noticed the added weight of the rear cover also made my ride quite better.

The Osram bulbs are good, almost similar to the Philips in hue/color (these are my second choice). I don't know if it has the UV block.

My next project would be to find a good set of fender flares; either the small flat black ones or the the ones from the Titanium. Any idea on the cost of these and where to find a good set?

another option for the fog lamps is the Roadboy with yellow and white lens. This is what the casa here puts as OEM when buying frontiers. Some put Hella na oblong, kasyang kasya sa butas. But OEM in the states is bosch, but it has gaps on the top and bottom.

all weather bulb ng Wuerth for me is the best, durable and may available pa na 130/90.

Wurth is Germany also (like Philips and Osram); i see that up for sale at Hans Tools but never tried them as the cost per bulb is at P800+ per piece.

maglilinis na nga ako ng airfilter tomorrow... ramdam ko na medyo humihina na ang hatak pagpaakyat ako ng Antipolo...

Baka sa friend mo yun nakita ng brother ko na chop-chop parts ng 2001 model sa Capalangan....hehe. I was tempted to get the whole front fascia/grill assembly para mag-upgrade sa 2001 model/look.

Are you talking about dun sa bolts sa shackle? I went around sa mga auto shops today looking for a longer shackle. Un nakakabit na stock bolt for the shackle ay ½" daw un sukat. Ang available sa mga shops ay 3/4", mas thicker sya. Would this mean na mas matibay un makapal na bolt? Mag-fit kaya to sa sa molye?
