The fastest i've ever hit with mine was an indicated 178kph on a downhill stretch on the Star Tollway before (gravity induced top speed... hehe); this was with 225/70R15 highway terrain tires.

The 3.2L engines in the 4x2 models, in good condition, would do around 150kph even on a flat road (with the stock 215/75R15 tires).

On the ride, change your shocks to KYB Gas-A-Justs (the stock shocks are crappy and make the ride more bouncy) then reverse the rear helper spring. It'll improve the ride quite much and the payload capacity of the Frontier won't be affected really unless you carry the really heavy stuff (with it's friggin high payload capacity).
Same tire size with you Sir na Savero. And also the shocks, Gas-a-just na KYB na nakalagay. No mods na ginawa. As is original pa rin Frontier nia.

i think there's no need for replacing the stock exhaust manifold of your qd32,stick with orig. manifold, sayang lang, and im not so sure if it will improved its acceleration since its a diesel.

i own a 2k3 titanium 4x4 a/t. I wanna take it to a suspension specialist. Anlakas ng wiggle. Pinabalance ko na and it's still there. Sabi sa akin dapat daw palitan ko yung front wheel bearing then camber correction anlakas din kasi umupod ng goma.

mga sir can you help me with my 09 frontier 4x4...my whole instrument panel is having problems. My fuel gauge acts funny. It usually acts somewhat correct but seems to jump around alot when moving. My temp gauge doesn't work but sometimes when I turn the pick up on and crank it back up it goes all the way to hot and then back down to normal after it runs for awhile.the rpm doesn't move at all..odo meter is blank,no digits display...last reading was 230k...I'm thinking about taking it to Nissan and let them deal with it.or i can fix it myself with any help from the thread... maraming salamat.

^ thanks for the price range. yeah the goodyear looks nice compared sa ibang nakita ko. my only worry is hindi kaya alangan yung tire diameter since it's just a 70-series. mga ilang inches ba difference sa 75-series?

also, ano stock size and tires for the latest fortuner and montero sport? kapitbahay ko bought both suv's this year lang and wala pang 1 month changed them to 20's so baka pwed yun nalang kunin ko assuming he did not trade-in those for his aftermarkets.

17s na yung tires ng Fort and Monty Sport.

Between you choices, go for the Goodyear. Try also checking out the Yokohoma Geolandars. On my Frontier before (2.7E 4x2) i used Bridgestone Desert Dueler A/Ts (235/75R15) which i bought from DKC Tires. Try giving them a call as well. 421-3547 (cubao)

I'm using Michellin LTX A/T. So far, the tyres are performing well for two years.

You may try using this tyre upsizing calculator --> Tyre Upsizing, Tyre Upsizing Calculator, Tyre Upgrade, Upgrading tyres, Michelin Tyre dealer in chennai, Authorised Michelin Tyre dealer in chennai, Michelin India, Michelin Tyres, tyrestore chennai

It also gives you information of the markings on your tyres.

    Regards

Hi! magkano na ang bentahan ng 4X2 Frontier 2000-2002 model ngayon? I'm planning to get one for my business also what are the pros and cons of this truck. AFAIK aircon is very good and uses timing chain.

    Salamat!

Perhaps Carryboy would be the best bet to repair it.

Check out the Manila Bulletin on weekends (Sunday), that would give you an idea. Well kept units would still fetch around 300K to 350K i suppose. The engine and suspension is good no doubt, as long as its maintained properly. If you rev it hard when the engine is warmed up, a good engine (clean filter, properly working injection system and change oil regularly) will hardly smoke, if not at all.

What i dont like is the harsh ride and smallish rear cab for the rear passengers. On the ride quality, some minor fixes can improve it (reverse rear helper spring and good shocks).

I'm also scouting this truck vs. the Fuego. 4x4 for farm and mountain terrain service.

Comments regarding this rig is much appreciated.

Kung pang business the frontier is my choice. It's my 2nd time to own a frontier yung una ko was a 4x2 2.7 m/t. Used for 4 years almost clocking 150,000 kms. Yung 4x2 ko kaya 11 km/l city driving. Yung 4x4 around 8 km/l. IMO mas maingay pa at mausok mga dmax, strada, hilux kahit na mas bago.

Note that the 150 thou km that i racked up was all us since we got it bnew way back in 2000 then sold it nung 2004.

Kanina lang nagpachange oil ako sa frontier ko. It's my 3rd time to change it's oil since i got it almost a year ago. Ngayon it consumed a lil over 6.5 liters compared to 6 liters on my 1st 2 oil change. Same shop same service guy who did it. Calibration na ba kailangan assuming walang leaks?
