Yun pong 2004 model, di yun GS model. GX lang po yun. Yung GS model kasi comes with a 1.6L engine and all-disc brakes with ABS/EBD plus auto climate control aircon.

Eto po things to check for the N16 GS kung used po bilhin nyo:

    - Fuel used; ask nyo po owner kung 95RON (XCS, Caltex Gold, Shell V-Power or Premium) gamit nya.

If you value comfort and safety, the N16 GS is a very good choice.

God bless!

*jeisuarezjescel - Yung fuel consumption is not entirely dependent sa displacement ng makina. Consider mo rin yung weight ng kotse. A smaller engine needs to be revved or pushed harder to drive a heavier load.

Reasonable na yung 235k for a 2006 Sentra GS. Bring also a friend to give you a second opinion but be sure to ask for his/her unbiased observations. Check the car just like buying an appliance or tool.

If you can live with 8-9 Km/L of FC, the Sentra is a safe choice with its comfort and safety features tapos advantage din yung low resale value nya (a younger car for a smaller budget).

back to the sentra... naka timing chain pa din ata ang makina neto eh.... if yes, mas ok sya, imho.

Timing chain na yung QG16 engine ng N16 Sentra. Double over head camshafts (DOHC) with electronic fuel injection yung QG16 producing 118 hp *6000 rpm and 165 N·m *4000 rpm. It has good low-end torque as the car is able to start trudging along to cruise even at low rpms (between 1k to 2k). If the N16 was just about a ton (1000kg), performance would be a lot better but with the N16 Sentra Exalta or Sentra GS topping around 1200kg, the car is not that quick to accelerate but it is a stable cruiser on the highways.

tnx sir 1D4LV and sir EGAN101..

last few questions po bago ako tuluyan magdecide kunin yung Sentra or not..

sabi kasi ng friends ko baka daw mahirapan ako sa piyesa?..buuan daw kasi ang palitan ng parts sa Nissan..assembly daw ganun..is it true?

other than that, ano pa po major cons nya?..para po di ako mabigla in the future and at least i know what to expect.. tsaka pangMATAGALAN ba talaga tong car model na to?..

In the case of suspension parts (most common issue ng N16 chassis), Cruven or Zee or other suspension specialists easily take care of replacing bushings and links. The stock shocks (Paraut liquid shocks) is a bit on the soft side but you can easily replace them with Paraut gas-type shocks or KYB or Bilstein (kung kaya ng budget). Biggest drawback against the Altis or Civic ES of its age (2001-2005) is the FC and the 95RON requirement. Both Altis and Civic ES in AT tranny could do 10 Km/L and can take in 93RON. The Lancer Cedia AT suffers same or even worse FC (7 km/L as per inputs from some members here in Tsikot). However, given the lower resale value of Nissan, you can buy a Sentra which is 3-5 years younger than an Altis or Civic ES for the same price.

Tulad ng wrap-around skirt, side repeater lamps, clear tail lights, duck tail, black leather, silver trims on interior. Recently bought one myself.

Also, don't worry too much on a difference of 1kpl FC. Someone already posted a similar calculation. But let me do it again. If a GS can do 8kpl and an altis can do 10kpl. Assuming you do 10k kms in a year, if you have GS, you will buy 1,250 liters worth of gas compared to 1,000 liters when you had an altis - that's a difference of 250 liters worth of supposed over-spending on gas per year (or PHP 13,750 per year - assuming fuel costs 55 per liter). But the price difference of buying the same year model between GS and Altis runs to around 150k pesos. Thus, you can only break even that difference after 10.9 years. By then, you would have sold the car and bought another one.

Get the GS sir, it's worth the money.
