July 23rd, 2015 02:11 AM #535I think the zero gravity seats works better with cloth seats. The leather trim makes it thicker so maybe we can't feel it much. I haven't experienced back pains, only thigh support issues. The lumbar is just right for me. But you should adjust the seat and the steering wheel to match your preference. It is telescopic.
For me tama lng lambot ng suspension. The 1st gen is even softer which I like. This one is the same as CX5.
I also want to know how chassis control works.
Auto lock is enabled on my 4x4 unit. Maybe you can ask the dealer to set it in case it's disabled.

July 23rd, 2015 09:52 AM #536* stockengine: after reading the comments I reviewed the paperwork I got. I actually paid 356 pesos for "care care kit". Next visit is 5,000 or 6months whichever comes first. I clarifed further and the 3rd visit will be at 10th km. Succeeding visits are going to be every 10th km thereafter. This was at Nissan commonwealth.
* 2kissmet: as stated by skylightpigeon, first 1000 is inspection only and its free. no actual change of oil so I don't know if I can bring my own oil to nissan commonwealth. They top up whatever fluids needed topping free of charge as well which probably isn't much given that car is still quite new. I guess the 356 pesos is for cleaning the carha ha nothing really is free.
Still I am very pleased with the people and the service - they were very helpful and all smiles and the car was out when they said it would be. For my next service I am considering having them get the xtrail from the office and bring it back to me. Commonweatlh is really far for me and the traffic going to and coming back is horrible. I have a bunch of free coupons that can be used, but basically these are for cleaning, underwashing etc. and that's why I decided to bring it back to them in the first place. If the traffic gets too unbearable I will try nissan shaw or ortigas for servicing.
* sachiel: I noticed that aircon ventilation issue with the xtrail as well. With my previous vehicle that was also a problem and when I talked to the manager about it (he is a friend of mine) he said that that is actually a safety mechanism so that the air in the vehicle gets refreshed. CO2 build up can occur and cause drowsiness so the vents default to open. Unfortunately in the Philippines when behind a bus or jeep you get carbon monoxide instead.
I tend to leave my aircon on even when I power off the car. When I start it again the aircon is still at the closed/recirculation position.

A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
