Regarding the recall, yes, actually i received an email about this from hi5kaibigan. I read the article and i forgot about it due to work and an out of town trip with the family... my apologies. *hi5kaibigan, thanks for the email. sorry i forgot to reply back.

I'm not too sure if MMPC has acknowledged this issue. But while reading the article again, there are some things we must consider:
1. This is intended for the australian market since it came from the website: caradvice.com.au Over the course of time, australia can sell a lot more cars (of 42k units sold) than the Philippines. It also didn't specify any other geographical areas other than Australia- even its neighboring country, New Zealand.
2. I understand that like the Philippines, Australia sources its Triton from the same assembly plant in Thailand. But one major alteration between the Aussie-spec and the Local-spec is that we are Left hand drive versus them being Right hand drive. There may be different components required for each assembly so we may say that maybe they got it right with the LHD rather than the RHD. If the issue was with the RHD only, and the same bolt-tightening process was done and if this applies to all (Ocenia, GCC, Euro and Asian/ASEAN/General Export Markets) then other RHD markets including home court Thailand must stir up some recall also.
3. In any case, Bolt Tightening is much better than the dreaded recall of Stuck Accelerators... hehehe... Rendering the car inoperable due to the bolts is better than engines running to the max and encounter the after-life before you know it.

Proof that Mitsubishi is doing something about it. Prior to the recent recall scandals by the other brand, it had its own major problem at the turn of the century with cover ups since the 1970s and denying it in the process- both for MMC and Fuso. Lets give MMC the benefit of the doubt that they are in control of the recall... yes, that also includes the other brand.

just my 2cents... thanks.

lets wait for the response of sir Xave in case he has a trick or two of his sleeve... hehehe...

agree, sir Gaiden. some of them knew about it through the flyers, friends and even through word-of-mouth. They knew the club first, then the forums came afterwards.

as for the mags, nagtanong na rin ako dito sati. if you stick with the stock 16x6 wheels, 245 is the widest you can go. may ibang ang 265 na yata pero hindi ata recommended. malaking limitation talaga yung 6 inch width ng wheels.

try this site out to look for alternative tires.

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

yung stock ng glx, eto specs: 205/80R16

the most important numbers to look at are the speedometer difference and diameter difference. the smaller the difference, the better. based on my what i tried, eto yung mga puede. it will just depend on the availability of tires with these specs.
245/65R16 and 265/60R16

hi all!

I became curious lang about some technical info about Mitsu's CRDI. I've come across a thread here discussing inferior injector issues from Denso and comparing them with a more reliable counterpart in Bosch for their respective manufacturers. Its seems there's a deeper discussion but to cut the story short...

What's the word on these affecting our 3.2s and 2.5s?

TIA!

^^^ I consider LR to be a walking encyclopedia too... of course, the more, the merrier... hehehe...

*cjv_justice, the injectors for the 2.5 and 3.2 have been tuned to the best way possible for our kind of fuel. Yes, there may have been issues of stradas slowing down due to lack of power but this is due to impure fuel affecting the SCV (suction control valve) which can always be replaced at casa.

AFAIK, Bosch is the brand of injectors for the Strada 2.5 and 3.2 and i believe this also applies for the Montero Sport and Pajero.

i hope this answers your question po. But lets wait for the other owners/TSCP members. thanks

salamat bro sa info. at least medyo nalinawan ako sa issue.

i can attest to this power loss issue, due to poor fuel quality. sometime late last year my dad loaded Jetti diesel from a Cavite station and ayun sobrang sama ng arangkada niya, di ma-maximize yung shifting. kaya ngayon i'm pretty paranoid when loading diesel on our 3.2...

many thanks!
