Mitsubishi Triton Recalled

    By Garreth Miers | June 2nd, 2010

Although Japanese rival Toyota may have been stealing the limelight with its vehicle recalls and perceived quality issues, Mitsubishi is seemingly joining the new fad.
Mitsubishi has announced today the recall of over 42,000 Triton Models manufactured between October 2006 and January 2009.
Mitsubishi has discovered bolts attaching the ball joints to the front suspension may not be correctly tightened. As a result these bolts may come loose causing a severe knock in the front suspension. It is also noted that in a worst case scenario the bolts may detach, rendering the car undriveable .
We do have to wonder how an issue like this could go unnoticed for over 2 years? Did it take two years of driving for the bolts to properly loosen?
Recalls of the Triton are set to begin June 11, where owners will be required to take their Triton into a Mitsubishi Dealer for an inspection and re-tightening of these bolts

By the way, mine is GLS Sports 3.2L MT 4x4.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

+1 ako dyan, Sir! Nakaka-addict talaga, when I tested how fast it can go, umabot ako ng 160kph sa SLEX at Greenfield Sta. Rosa. I did not realize that was doing 160kph had I did not look at the speedometer. Sobrang stable and smooth...

At parang mahal ata yong first 1K ko na change oil(XP turbo ata yon) at filter change lg cost me PHP5,800! At saka sabi ng SA ma void daw warranty pag gumamit ako ng Motul o K & N air filter... dapat lg daw yong sa kanila lg na oil/filter gagamitin!

    Maraming Salamat Gid!
me counter weight din yung strada ko, more or less 80kgs yun.

    Billet grilles 2009 strada,

Noted that the original billet grille of strada is chrome, pinatungan lang ng blackish paint sa casa or somewhere. I want to restore the chrome plating of the grille by removing the black paint coating, kaya lang reluctant to use paint remover baka masira din ang chrome plating, has anybody tried removing the black paint? ano ang ginamit ninyo ?

    Thanks for any feedback.
