Thanks so much mga sir... I hink ill get a soft lid when I get to manila.. tanungin ko na lang sa store how to install.. kaya naman siguru DIY heheheh

When I got my soft lid, the installation looks like an easy DIY project. Just 4 holes drilled on the front portion of the bed to secure the soft cover.

Tip...if you have a light colored truck, I suggest that you remove the bed liner attached to the tail gate and clean/wax-off the grime (Libag) that accumulated between the liner and the tailgate. This will save you the aggravation of seeing the "libag" when you install the soft lid - because the tarp pulls up the liner a bit which exposes the dirty portion.

ALSO, this will prevent you from entertaining the (silly) idea of slicing off a bit of the liner with the belief that it will offset the tarp pulling-up the liner...believe me, I know.

yup bro since 08 meron ng LSD ang GLS sport....and its not new for the 2010...

ayaw nyo i-try mitsubishi dealer dito sa davao mga sir?. i travel nyo lang by land, hehe.. may gls sports silver... gls silver.. hehe.. dun sa mga nag aantay..

anyway, earlier this day.. i was very happy kasi i-rerefund raw ng casa ung fender flares, kinuha na nila sa unit ko but i was kinda sad coz sabi hindi raw mabibigyan ng labor fee ung nag kabit but i think its not my fault anymore coz hindi talaga at par and justifiable yung quality sa price nila..

but this afternun, after ako nag pa underchassis car wash.. sabi nung chief carwash man ng pitstop.. baka pumutok raw yung shocks ko sa right portion kasi raw may oil na nakikita nila pag tinitira nila nung pressurized water, pero hindi nila ma determine.. suddenly pumasok sa isip ko na baka binutasan nung nag labor sa flares ko.. hmm, i was kinda worried.. pano po malaman na may something wrong sa shocks ko mga sir?.

bout your shock, under warranty naman yan, if there's a leak, ask for your warranty...

Hi, kahit sa black glx ko, kita parin libag after ko wax..feeling ko gas gas from the liner

Anyway i did the silly method of slicing a bit of the liner..and after realizing it doesnt help at all.. i spared the sides and three buttons at the rear

For all softlid buyers, good buy narin yung sa genevieve..dein lang chicks yung nagbebenta compared to carryboy..hehe..saw her also strada boys! hehe

but mukhang ang dami nang problem ng unit ko (GLX '10) ngaun plang sir.. 800 kms plang natakbo..
1.ang hirap nang mag change gear,
2.may lagitik nang bakal minsan na tumutunog sa ilalim, mechanic ng truck nag sabi na baka propeller shaft ung problem but hindi rin siya sure kasi di pa nya naririnig..
3.pag papatayin na ang engine.. may unwanted sound na naririnig yung parang ayaw mag papatay at nag vavibrate pa ng 1 to 2 times bako mapatay, parang may tumitiik sa makina..nung bago pa ang unit, walang ganitong sound nor vibrations akong na experience.
-this is not what i have in mind for a brand new car.. problems 2 and 3 eh na experience ko after ko dinala sa casa to remove the fender flares they installed..

Its sad to know that you are experiencing this kind of problems....but do have it checked at your local dealer....and also I also advise you to meet up with our fellow strada brothers in your area...for sure they would be more than happy to help you with the problems that you are experiencing and also you can also compare your units for further reference on with regards to what you are experiencing....

and also don't be too downhearted with what you are experiencing....I'm sure all of those things has a remedy...and do keep in mind that your unit is still under warranty and hasn't reach even a thousand kms yet....so you have all the rights to complain...

thanks for correcting me, I forgot that the Gls Sport was launched in 2007.....

what the others did was they have searched for a foglight that fitted the old stock bumpers provision...

but for the 2010 its an OEM part that was integrated into the bumpers, So I think it will be priced ridiculously if you buy it from the dealership...that is, if its even available...

Copy Sir! I'll try rubbing compound.. especially on the tailgate coz its where the grime's seen the most. hehe Been using black turtle wax..ayaw matanggal.

question lang sir, is this your first diesel engine car? yung kasing #3 problem mo medyo common po yan sa diesel engines compared sa gasoline fed na swabe kapag pinatay ang makina... ganyan din tinanong ko nun kay av8or5 nung bago pa lang ang strada ko. dun naman sa pag-change ng gear, ganyan din ang problem ni docglen and homer... maikli kasi ang legs nila hahahaha!

suggestion ko sir is for you to attend the mini EB ng Mindanao Durians and compare your strada with the others... im sure they are willing to share info and common experiences... and dont worry, with the help of the BOSBs, may solution sa mga 'problems' na na-observe mo

yup sir possible yan....si pransis ganyan ang setup... also kung talagang mag roroller lid ka yung pace edwards nalang ang kunin mo....di ko lang sure kung meron silang pang STRADA na Roller lid...

IMHO yes its better than carryboy since its US made....But I think the only thing that its better at is the Longer time before it would show some Wear...
meaning if the carryboy lid will last about a year without any glitches like rusting of the rails, a stuck up motor and water leakage, ETC...the pace edwards should be expected to last a longer time before it shows signs of wearing....But still its gonna show (BTW the timespan given is just an estimation)... That's why some of the BOSB's including me doesn't really recommend it unless you really need it for your Occasional & everyday purposes...and IMHO I believe that the other types of lids has more worth for the money....

and for the the gas mileage, yes, I think its plausible...because when you have a cover on the bed...it tends to make the truck more aero dynamic resulting to a much more efficient consumption...

hmm.. about naman sa change gear sir, kinda d naman maikli legs ko, hehe.. but un nga lang minsan i pupump ko pa yung clutch, tapos pag hindi talaga mapasok i babalik ko nlng ulit sa pinangalingan na gear kaya nag 3.5-4 and rpm kung minsan.. hehe..
but what really bothers me is ung lagitik nang bakal sa ilalim.. hmm, may na experience ka nabang ganito sir?. naririnig ko xa pag naka open windows, at ung nag pa underchassis carwash ako nung pinaakyat nung boy sa parang taas.. hehe. lumagitik akala ko mababali yung propeller shaft..
and now measure ko ung hight... ang driver side ko is 1 inch na mas mababa kehsa kapila.. aw. pero common naman to kaya hindi na ako nag worry much.. gusto ko ung tagtag na manubela para alam ko ung dinadaanan ko, mas feel ko ung road.. hehe ^^

sa changing ng gears, mas maganda siguro kung mapa-adjust mo sa casa... kung ganun pa rin, insist mo na palitan nila gear oil... ipa-drive mo din kay nismo to confirm kung normal lang ba or dapat ipagawa na sa casa...

ganun talaga ang design ng manibela natin sir... para ma-feel ng driver ang obstacles sa offroad...
