Me too may problema na sa automatic lock ng 2 weeks old kung strada, punta ku ngayon sa winterpine...
gud am, sorry for not hanging out that much. just want to ask if your regular/heavy check up for 40,000kms soar about P17,000+ service. and some parts got a little bit high, but very inconsistent, air filter got high for only P30 but the fuel filter P500+. well i know there is a decent explanation to this, but generally comparing to other dealers (brand) its really very different, and its not very comfortable. im really satisfied still with my pick up. well for the gas consumption for my truck is a little high, coz its a matic and im a really heavy footer.
I'm lucky to be alive... just wanna share you this photo as a testimony that our Strada is sturdy, and that I'm lucky...

Good to hear that safe kayo sir martian....
and I think for that alone you already consider the strada a great buy....
basing from the pic...mukang medyo malakas talaga yung impact kasi pati yung front end nung trailer truck matindi din ang damage...
hi there sir!!! i think at one time i saw your strada along loakan road one evening before going to work...
where did you have your PMS po sir? here at Motorplaza Baguio or somewhere else?

i was just viewing the youtube video comparing the pickups on euronap test and of course our strada can handle it. from the looks of things, it just shows the capability of our truck against side impact. i am glad your okay.

in addition to what LR777 said, i was able to closely inspect the abovementioned new design power operated retractable lid...
a future Baguio BOSB- (his name is March, 2010 GLS Sport M/T user) had this installed at Carryboy La Union to the tune to about P39-40 thousand coins of Jose Rizal!. it was installed after he purchased the truck on October 2009.
the design looks promising. the rail at both sides has a gutter that also has a drainage on all 4 corners so the concentration of water flow goes through it. March also advised that at one time, during the heavy rains up here in Baguio last month the bed interior was still totally dry- much need on his case since he delivers paper products. the lid itself has a hook that locks the tailgate BUT im not convinced of its capability since the hook from the lid is quite small. perhaps a barrel bolt used in canopies on both sides from the inside will help out further. once the lid is closed, it can handle up to 5 kilos on top of it without damage.
to those who appreciate the current shape of the strada will like this. since the retractable lid is bolted on the bedside. its streamlined design shows minimal visual from the side view will eliminate the bulkiness of the current hard lids like the GSR and GSX of carryboy. the downside of it- even with the old design lid is that the depth of the pickup bed will be compromised due to the rails.
it doesn't totally retract. it left about 15% of it before reaching the motor. so for those who are expecting a real open pickup bed with this lid, you might want to think again.
but nonetheless, this new design is a step in the right direction. perhaps a bit more of fine tuning and this will really sell!

*martian_ 'glad to hear that you survived the impact and the Strada's RISE frame did work for you... May we know what is your next step with the casa, insurance and repairs?

Last time I had mine serviced for 15K km, I feel the same coz the initial charged by casa is pesos 11K, then nabawasan to 9k pesos due to discounts in parts & labor (still under warranty), Im just waiting for the warranty to expire, then go na lang ako sa third party shops, its true they charge very bloody & oooouuuuccchhhyyy.

After nung incident, nagpagawa ako ng police report then photo copy nung OR/CR at lisensya ko and nung nakabangga, the nag print ako nung mga pictures nung damage.
That would be my plan too. just gonna wait for my warranty to expire. comparing to others, our truck is pretty high on maintenance, well i think it all goes for all the diesel mitsu models, they are a little bit pricey (well i think its more than pricey). and may i add that casa is really bit like a talyer way of service unlike others. peace.

tnx for the link sir av8or5, it looks like hindi pa nila ginawa ito: Decarbonize EGR & Throttle Body P 800.00
Pulldown/Clean Intake Manifold & EGR port. ill double check. and still 15k inabot discounted already. and they still miss something. well its reasonable enough naman baka kc im using kc the fully synthetic oil.
