Anyway correct me if Im wrong. Last time on my way back from baguio, meron nakikipaghabulan sa akin na 3.2L GLS. Nagtataka lang ako kung bakit hindi sya makahabol sakin (of course hindi ito sa sctex ha). My theories are: (1) since manual ako and matic sya, nahihirapan sya with the overtaking (2) even if the GLS have a stronger engine, compensated din with the weight difference since 4x4 sila. or (3) banoobs lang talaga yung nagdrive nung GLS. hehehe.

ilang beses ko na ring gusto masubukan ang gls/glx pero so far pag may nakasabayan ako, parang pinagbibigyan ako lagi hehehe..siguro dahil kuya niya ang 3.2 ..i think the 2.5 since belt ito mas mabilis pero malakas syempre ang 3.2, we used to own 2nd gen. strada, masasabi ko iba talaga ang feel ng timing belt parang gasolina kung tumakbo compared to timing chain 3.2..however i believe 160 hp has a lot more to give pero it seems to me na nili-LIMIT ng mitsu ang speed nito? nakita ko sa youtube 3.2 umabot ng 200kph pero sa spain ata yon, nagulat ako di ko pa nasusubukan yon sa 3.2 namin, the most i've done is 180 wala kasing expressway dito sa amin.

hi guys. nice to know na sumikat yung term na ginamit ko. "BANOOBS" hahaha. anyway, I dont know kasi kung anong engine nung nakasabay ko. what I know lang is 4x4 GLS yun. Actually ngayon ko lang naisip na meron palang 4x4 na kapareho lang ng engine ng GLX. I always thought kasi na yung GLS is the 3.2L. Siguro nga same lang kami ng engine.

Normally diba tatapakan mo ang gas para "makabwelo". Habang paakyat na ako (without stepping on the clutch ha so gas pedal lang ang apak ko) biglang parang nilagay mo sa neutral for 2-3 sec yung kotse mo. Parang di sya nagrespond. Mga 4x ko na naexperience to. One time I was driving tapos may nakikipagsabayan sakin from the stoplight. So bitaw kami 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear then that happened again. Ayun, iwan ako. Mahirap iexplain pag tinype lang eh. Pag nagkita kita tayo explain ko sa inyo. hehehe.

*silverend --> most of the time po kasi sa skyway ako dumadaan kaya madalas ko nahahataw tong Strada ko. Top speed ko as of now is 185km/hr. I do believe pa rin kasi na dapat binabatak ang mga engine ng sasakyan eh. BTW, stock na stock pa lang ang engine ko. Im planning to get pa lang at least the air filter next month.

Yes malakas talaga ang hangin na maririnig mo if you're travelling at that speed pero yung feeling mo sa loob, parang nasa eroplano ka lang. Hindi naman parang kakalas. hehehe. Well also siguro may factor yung deadening ng front doors ko. Nagpakabit kasi ako ng seps sa harap kaya naka deadening yung 2 pintuan ko sa harap. Kaya siguro di masyado nakakatakot ang tunog ng hangin even if I drive at that speed.

but still im in 180kph, pero feeling ko, magtatake off na ang strada ko... hehehe

ahh I see sir gets ko na po..

IMO what you are experiencing is the sudden loss of power, 3 of my friends also experienced it (not from TSCP)

however their's was a bit more worse because two were running at speeds of 100kph ++ then suddenly kahit anong apak nila ayaw na humatak and the other one was on his way to baguio using kennon road which for me is really scary hehe...


what I see is two possible reasons why you are experiencing it.

first, your tank, maybe at those four times you experienced it your fuel gauge is below 1/4, so make sure you wouldn't let it pass below the 1/4 line because of the reason that the suction "whatever" in the fuel system will suck air from the tank which causes the lost of power.

second, the dirty fuel, maybe your fuel sensor is already starting to accumulate some dirt from the fuel so better observed it and get it checked.

Hi guys. Fastest ko was 170kph sctex. It was pretty stable. And you just know na meron pa ibibigay. 200kph is very believable.

I went to Baler, Aurora over the weekend. Several shallow river crossings. Rough roads for the most part. Was also able to use the 4x4 on an uphill muddy incline. I would've been dead with a 4x2. You gotta love this pickup of ours. Ang galing talaga. While it's selling point is that you can use it as a daily driver in the metro, it can really soak up the rough stuff. Stock pa yung pickup ko. I also had two passengers with me and loads of photo equipment. Gulat yung friend ko sa hatak when I overtook a truck. Lakas daw.

The sudden absence of power is a bit disconcerting. Does it also happen with Montero Sport? This might be a case of a defective Electronic Throttle. Drive-by-wire na ba ang Strada and Montero Sport?
