I tried some off-roading yesterday. it's not actually off-road but a long stretch of gravelled road with plenty of potholes. i noticed that when the front tires hit potholes or bumps the truck drifts, slides, sways - i cant describe it well but to say the least, handling is compromised. this also happened on asphalted roads where some section has pronounced corrugation/ small waves (perhaps the enigeer is a marine engineer) and the truck drifts espcecially on road bends. this could be noticed at speeds ranging from 50-70 kph. of course going faster would be dangerous. my tire pressure 30psi.

this phenomenom was primarily the reason i disposed by 2001 strada when even the casa cant give a good explanation.

    Have anyone noticed/observed this?
    Many Thanks

Same experience sir wulf_geo.... but im running 100kph and im overtaking when the truck slides and sways but i dont know the drift..Better solution is, be familiarized with the road... just keep it safe on uneven roads...

hi guys and gurus of this thread! im a new member of tsikot.com and would like to ask some questions. we're planning to buy a pick-up and thinking about getting a Strada, Hilux, or Dmax. what are the pro's and con's of each? planning to get the 2.5 variation m/t and actually leaning towards Strada mainly because of looks and also read some reviews and maganda naman reviews ng Strada

Its fast and furious , can run up to 200kph (try it), try to compare the interior and u will notice why strada is best. I love the ABS-EBD hehehehehe, coz there's no hard braking and add it up for 2 airbags . There's no need to add accessories coz its already handsome... agree? try to change tires and it will be yummy... compare also the price of 3.2 and other 4x4 and i guess its much cheaper.

4x4 on the FLY..... I guess the most smoothest ride among the pickups introduced now. Legroom's not the problem and lastly, you feel like driving an aircraft on land.... weeeeeeee

The only thing i hate bout the strada is
5-10 mins cooldown before shutting down (common with turbo engine)
Nothing more or less i guess hehehehe, at least not being biased hehehehehe....

I wont convince you to buy strada but be sure not to end up saying "How i wish i bought that spaceship" hehehhehe

And also one reason why im leaning towards the Strada is mas mura sya compared sa ibang 4x2 2.5L engine na pick-up. canvassed a hilux the other day and 100k ang difference nya sa strada with same variation. sayang din ung 100k pang bili na rin ng accessories yun

That would either be the Strada with a G500 canopy OR the current Mitsubishi Grandis. hehehehe

Whether 2.5 or 3.2 L, GO get the Strada! No regrets, bro.

For those interested in upgrading their AV system, eto yung upgrades ko...

    HU: stock Kenwood
Front speakers: DLS MS6A seps (SuperNaturalSound)
    Rear speakers: stock (no budget)
Amp: RF P400-4 ("You've got the PUNCH")
Sub: Premier 8" shallow-mount subwoofer (sealed box under my seat)... the sub is the most challenging component for GLS/GLS sport owners due to lack of space
    Installer: Mickey's Autosound

    What are yours?

you need to cool down your engine if you came from a long drive or from a hataw manner of driving... but if you were stuck in traffic before arriving to your destination, no need to cool down. for me, i always try to ease up on the gas pedal at least a kilometer from my destination, yun na ang cool down period ko

^ just wanna add..you should also consider idling it for a few minutes if youve done some Climbing, Hauling Heavy Loads and pulling Speedboats. All these activities puts the engine into High Revs..at low speeds.

This is where the turbo timer comes in handy.

basta sir, kung para sa inyo, lata ang tunog niyan, mas lata pa ang xplod...
lahat kami ng mga kaibigan ko ayaw sa xplod because of either easy damaging or pangit tunog...blaupunkt is the "not top of the line but good enough dahil estudyante" gear...hehehe
