sir question din regarding your tint and to other BOSB, 3M po ba tint nyo?balak ko kasi black yung tint ko yung hndi ako kita sa luob, tama ba na dark sa sides and medium sa windshield and sa rear?ang concern ko kasi baka mahirpan ako mag drive pag gabe, pag tumitingin sa side mirror..thanks

We have a ford everest before which has full dark tint. Bago pa lang sunset kailangan ko ng mag headlight kasi madilim na yung nakikita ko. You may have also noticed these on the road anywhere. Even on dark cloudy days, you will see some drivers already using headlights. Chances are, they have full dark tint. Then last year we tried it on our Fortuner. This time, it was only dark tint on the sides and medium tint on the front and rear. Still it is hard to see on the side mirror. On both vehicles we have to take it off and changed it to medium tint. So dito sa strada ko medium tint na lang pinalagay ko. I know a lot of people don't want to be seen inside just like me but the problem is, it also lessen my visibility looking out lalo na pa medyo malabo na yung paningin ko. Anyway, silhouette lang naman kita sa iyo sa medium tint. In the end it will be your choice. Ika nga e kanya kanya lang tayo ng diskarte at opinyon.

IMO... MMC had to balance the size height of the 17" tires over the width of the 16" tires... so if i was to visualize the 2008 strada with 265/65R17 tires (instead of the standard 245), there might be tendency for it to hit (kiss-kiss) the wheel well and other underchassis components for the front wheels- and it would look very, very odd if the rear tires had a bigger tire size. BUT considering that there are Strada Owners there who have those big bling-bling 20"+++ tires, i may not know what could be the reason.

7"LCD for the HU? is it a motorized screen from the HU? i think this might be available at the 2.5 GLS 4x4 paano na yung RV meter? andyan pa ba?

hi sir may forum pala strada dito sa tsikot at least makakuha ko inputs from the experts hehe... just got a new strada glx..was wonderin to upgrade the fender flares ksi wla sya originally nakakabit, ok ba ung sa carry boy parehas lng ba ng nakakabit sa gls? and ung wheels stock size is 205/80-16 gusto ko sana upgrade to a wider stance, nalito po ksi ako because before the starda 4x4 gls has a 245/70-16 ngayon nung naglabas sila 3.2 pati ung 2.5 na gls is 275/70-16...ano po ba mas ok na hindi masyado affected speedometer reading? sorry mga sir dami tanong first time to have a pick-up tnx

On your query on the fender flares, miggyboy ang pinakamura. I think it's the same that is placed in the higher variants of strada. Dun sa stradaph yahoo group site naka post yung accessories, prices and seller.

welcome to the strada club of the philippines! we are a bunch of guys with a common interest for the mitsubishi truck with the common rail (make no mistake: earlier generation stradas are also welcome)! we are looking forward to a picture of your ride on the forum. and you will receive a similar welcome (like this) from the other members quickly because other Band-Of-Strada-Brothers (BOSB) are habitually logging in to this and see what's new!

for the fender flares, please read the posts by thepatriarch, our vice president among others. he has a black strada GLX with with fenderflares and his post says it all with a good explanation. it is possible to have an upgrade with your tires and we haven't heard of any differences or side effects sa speedo, trip meter or odometer- unless anyone here crops up with the problem. may i suggest upgrading it to the play-safe GLS spec 245x16 making it look macho at the same time giving you a wider grip.

this thread may be your subsititue for a car magazine and even the pocket book you read on your spare time! hehehehe! please feel free to back read!

But with privacy at hand, then u can.

update: my boss gave me some perfomance metrics that i must attain so i can go the EB and meet all of you... i'm still 50/50 in chances. this is a work in progress. pls wish me luck! thanks.

same model tayo sir GLS sport din..pero hndi na banggit ng SA namin yung 7" LCD screen sabi nya lang na JVC HU..standard na kaya sya ngaun sa GLS SPORT?sayang din kasi kahit hndi natin magagamit habang nag ddrive tayo, atleast our pasengers can watch and mas maganda nadin kesa wala..hehe

hello there awoo!, though tama din si ianmitsulancer, the problem you have to face too is the strada's transmission settings. pre-set na ang transmission and speedometer niya to the wheel/tire rotations. check this site out! http://www.discounttire.com/ - look for the part kung saan mapapagcompare mo ang different tire sizes and the effect on your original ride. meron silang calculator etc. nagpalit ako ng mags, same size same everything (naka gls ako) but deeper offset kaya mas nag improve ang handling ko. wider grip on the road kasi. lumapad talaga kotse ko because of it. so it's up to you what and whichever gagawin mo kasi kanya kanya tayong trip. Re the '08 tires, I don't think it's cost cutting. The 17" rims with 17" tires are more expensive. I guess they just wanted to have something new to offer for the '08 model. And to maintain the same diameter on a larger rim, they have to install relatively thinner tires.

Again, a powerful 3.2L truck that can reach 200kph needs more grip on the road.

Now, if they want to offer something for the '09 model, I hope it's traction control for added safety .

i do agree with this- this is absolutely NOT cost cutting. i think (IMO) that tire size is commensurate to the weight- lets say the current Prado and Pajero- has 265/65R17 and i'm pretty sure that the upcoming Montero Sport will have this as well. These are trucks that are heavier than the strada.

Sir eslonblue, samin po 3M tint. dark sa sides, rear and sa may visor sa windshield - nakuha namin for FREE... sa windshield, medium = P1,200...

Comment: from inside, walang makita sa side mirror sa gabi( sa province po ah.. kasi magkakalayo streetlights) kung sa city medyo mahirap padin... sa windshield, malinaw na malinaw... parang walang tint...
from outside, silhouette lang makikita sa windshield. sa side at rear wala... (ung parang salamin po kasi ung tint namin)

Advice po..... Kanina lang nasagi ng scooter yun likod ng pickup. Yun dulo ng manibela ng scooter ang tumama pero nag iwan ng gasgas na malalim pero hindi dent yun likod ko. Hindi ko na mahabol at hit and run saka traffic nun time na tinamaan nya ako. Meron kaya nabibili touch up paint sa casa o better papinturahan ko yun part na may gasgas? ayaw ko din claim sa insurance at baka mas mahal pa abutin yun participation sakin. How much kaya abutin?
