This Montero is beginning to pique my interest. To the owners out there, may I ask a couple of questions:

Does the second row of the MS slide forward/backward like the Fortuner?

What are the current colors available for the Montero?

Yes it does slide fwd/bwd for legroom adjustment.

White, black, dark grey, silver (light grayish looking color for me), red.

- To cut it short, I don't think the MS can really hit 10 km to a liter even if driven conservatively

I beg to disagree. HIGHWAY driving kaya naman lampas 10 km/ liter. I've gone to SUBIC and back via NLEX / SCTEX and registered 10.5 km / liter average for the whole trip. Could've been better mileage, kaya lang can't help doing 120++ km / hour most of the time.

Question lang...Re: 1000km check-up

My monty's odo reading is 920kms....is it ok to bring it to the casa for the 1000km pms? or i have to wait until it reaches 1000+kms

because i'll be going to bicol this weekend and its around 450kms from manila.

You're right leon. I forgot to factor in the load. There were five adults, one kid, light luggage and one 65 pound labrador going back. Amazing how all of us were comfortable all throughout the 11 hour trip.

I dont have an MS, but sir, this is my opinion, ill wait till i come back from bicol...at least i would be able to complain if there are things that went wrong / observe with my vehicle upon 1K KM PMS. Your trip to vehicle will actually be good as a break-in period with different speeds, curves, road conditions, you will really test your vehicle.
