The longer stick if for the engine, there's an 'ENGINE' word on the handle.. I think the shorter stick is for the ATF..

yah taas nga. la na e diyan na hehehe. there is no fix price sa mga dealers.

Not only is there no fixed pricing, what's worse is that there is no fixed and standard list of what to do for EVERY PMS (not only the first 1000 kms).

I don't know in your case, but in my case, the CASA I went to said that Engine Flushing is needed in 1000 kms PMS, but over at another CASA I called up, they said Engine Flushing is NOT needed. Go figure.

Sa ibang CASA pa nga pwede daw mineral oil for our 4m41 engines, while other CASA's are saying na may memo from Mitsu Phils na dapat fully synthetic oil lang ang dapat ilagay sa engines natin.

There's one CASA pa nga who said that the gear oil needs to be changed in the first 1000 km checkup.

So who's right and who's just making a fast buck? Kaya dapat alisto tayo palagi... HAAAAAYYYYY. Sana matapos na warranty ko so I won't be at the mercy of the CASA's.

just new here but have been enjoying reading the threads here at Tsikot. Since someone had posted something about lubricants, here are some facts that you may find usefull..

1. Once you use FULLY Synthetic oil in your engine it is not advisable to shift back to mineral based oils. Doing so means protecting your engine, extending engine life and gives value once you sell the vehicle (you can highlight this to the buyer)..

2. You may want to consider using FULLY Synthetic oil also for your transmission.. Other's also use fully synthetic oil in their power steering.

3. How to translate oil: 20w-50 (the lower the first digit means better for cold weather, W means weather... second digit, the higher the better for hot climates, also means thicker..

4. some think having a fully synthetic oil that is 5w is better... I prefer to have a 20w-50 or a 15w-40.. Fully synthetic oil...

5. Semi-synthetic actually uses mineral based oil so don't be misled..

6. It is a common practice for auto mfrs to come out with their own brand of lubricants.. (in reality these are just rebranded oil taken from oil co's)..

7. Not all oil companies mfr or have the capability to produce FULLY synthetic oil...

8. Retailers will tell you that fully synthetic oil is good for 10,000-15,000kms before replacing it.. You can actually run it higher... Mobil Phils. (before they became Exxonmobil) sales guys (before they down sized) used to change their oil 1x a year...

Wheels, as per above, ang alam ko for fully synthetic oil you change the oil every 10,000 kms or 1 year whichever comes first.

But, as per CASA, you have to change the oil filter pa rin every 5000 kms.

Hi question lang, service guy told me to return for oil filter change sa 5k. Ano ba ang standard talaga? ang alam ko kasi ang oil filter change is sabay sa change oil and not every 5k.

Yes, it's helpful information... pero "W" there means "WINTER". Kasi nga, yung first number, it designates the winter or cold-start viscosity.

Ei guys, newbie sa forum. Got my MS Black last 4 days ago. Really love it, it's really awesome.

I have a few questions though.

- Does it have an engine immobilizer?
- Does the glove box have lights when opened? SE version? my brochure shows that it should have lights on he glove box. Mine doesn't
- Is the turbo timer really needed? I was qouted 3k from winterpine. Ok na ba yun?
- If I install HIDs, would it void the warranty?

Good morning guys....... had my MS serviced for its first 1,000 km.....here is my bill:
XP TURBO OIL (FULLY SYNTHETIC) 9LITERS ................... P 4,500.00

They gave me the excess oil (approximately half a liter).

wah...it cost me 7,500+ in Citimotors makati for the 1K PMS...they put 10 liters of oil and wala pang excess oil na binalik...

they're being unfair...kahit na konting oil lang yan..pandaraya na yan...

i hope the mitsu dealers should have a standard pricing.
