yes sir it will play 720p and 1080p mkv files. only thing is this files are not usable yet in car as the LCD screen resolution is still not HD. the wdtv is only an interface and does not have any hdd inside. there are 2 usb slots available on the unit.
i dont know about the wdtv coz i am using a Popcorn Hour Network Media Tank at home. but with the popcorn it will play almost all movie formats known todate. since i watched mkv, i never looked back and watch dvd (avi) anymore. dvd quality sucks on my 50" screen.

July 1st, 2009 09:12 PM #3935Hi guys,
Just wondering if anybody can provide me with a real picture of a blue coloured Monty. Because I'm torn between two colours at the moment and I haven't seen any blue colours on road myself.
TIA!

July 1st, 2009 10:23 PM #3937sir can i join in your discussion... without replacing the original head unit you will install a lcd monitor only but lcd monitor is not compatible to the original head unit. how will you connect the sound of the wdtv to the original head unit? hindi po ba maraming wires na nakalabas?

*migs,
di naman sa ayaw ng hdtv sa car pero wala pa yatang 7" screen na may 1980x1080 resolution sa ngayon para ma utilize mo ang feed ng wdtv. sir, cheap lang po ang home theater ko, nakakahiya e post but you can check my setup at pinoydvd. my handle there is gnew.
*ntyce,
power should not be a problem to run an in-car hdd media player. the power adapter size is like a laptop only with a DC output (12v or something). car battery can provide enough juice to run a power hungry amplifiers, so no need for an extra battery for this small device.
*MOC-Echo,
yes, egreat mg-34a is better but expensive compared to wdtv. what we are utilizing only at the moment is using composite video out and standard def video file as the current in car LCD resolution is not hd yet. also, we don't need the network connectivity in the car.
*reloaded
the video out of the media player will be connected directly to the monitor and the analog out will be connected to the aux in or at the rear aux in of the orig hu (if there's any).
wala pa akong ganitong setup. nag plan pa lang na bumuo. you can contact mickey autosound to know more how he did his installs.

Wow... the news spread so fast like N1H1 ???
Ok, that what i did to my Monty :
1. I install HID 50W/6000 to the head light, the existing china HID, shift to fog light, lucky the the fog light size H11 too.
2. I fix the LED for park light,is inside the high beam.
3. LED for resever light...
Total Damage 19K....
But i thing is worth it, because i tested last night.....
before when i at Biak Na buto street, i cant see the head light, but now i can see it...
better looking when turn on the light, before only the head light is white, park light and fog light is yellow, it look funny....now more Gawpo na...
Althought the HID i fix is about 3 time more then China made, but i think it worth it...value foe money, My advice dont go for China made, as one of my friend said, " when you pay peanut, you get monkey." hahaha
Thank you very much to Ntyce for the reconmendation......
