Apologies for posting this here but you may reply to my same post in the "Issues for the Montero" thread. Just need as much info as possible and there are more people following this thread.

Hi Guys,

I have a 2-month old GLS SE 4x4 and I had my 1k PMS at Citimotors Makati Last Oct. 28. I spent over 7k 'coz my advisor told me they had to use synthetic oil already. I'm concerned about the noticeable changes after the PMS:

1. Acceleration feels less powerful prior to the PMS (parang nabibitin)
2. I used to pull-off higher speeds below 2000 RPM but now it seems I have to push it to 3k RPM or more to get to that speed.
3. Shifting pattern seems to be misplaced both on open road and inclines
3. Increased engine noise and vibration
4. Increased vibration of the 4wd stick resulting to increased cabin noise

Performance was really fine prior to the PMS. I have not contacted my SA or engineer yet about it (bought it in Citi Alabang but had the 1k PMS in Makati) but I plan to bring it to Alabang na lang for a check instead para may konting pressure ng SA ko. I'd just like to know:

1. Has any of you experienced this? What was done to resolve?
2. What were the components checked/adjusted during the PMS that may have contributed to the changes?
3. What do I need for them to look at? (Para naman di nila ako paikutin)

I still have no plate number so I hope this isn't a sign of any long term problem. Please help.

Sir,

I observed the same issues after my 1st PMS but after a few days the problems went away without any intervention.

I'm not sure why... Maybe our more engine savvy brothers here can explain...

i'm back in Batangas... what an experience... haven't slept yet.. traffic on the way to manila and on the way back... but still, all was left aside when i saw lots of montero's. kakawalang pagod... it was nice to see and meet all of you guys kahit di ko naabutan yung iba.. it was a successful EB i can say..(bad trip lang yung guards)

hat's down to every one.. saw different types of set up.. bow down ako Sir Ntyce wala ko masabi sa set up mo.. hoping maupgrade ko din yung ride ko na parang sayo

It was a great sunny day this morning! I am personally so excited to see more pictures!

It was a very overwhelming day as this EB had the most number of attendees! almost 30!!! To the 20 plus new comers, thank you for showing your support! Next time group hug tayo
