Sayang, wasn't able to join you guys. Thanks for sharing the pictures and video, parang nandyan na rin kami. Next time sana maka-join na ko.

One question, has anyone of you already tried to open and access the spare tire? When I inspected it, parang you need to unscrew a couple of cross-screws, plus also another two hex-screws.

Pero when I look at the tools, wala namang suitable for the hex screws.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

I have already removed my spare to have my tires loaded with Nitrogen.

You do not need a hex wrench as you will only need the spare tire wrench which is basically a 19 or 20. It only requires a few twists and it will reveal the metal bolt which will lower your spare tire.

Unless yours really requires a hex wrench and for this please do send us a picture so that we can see what you are talking about.

I guess majority of the monty owners (I am assuming) will be like mine.

Do let us know if you have it differently.

ok, i'll try to convince my erpats...sir can you pls show to me where the air filter is located? I am not really familiar with the engine bay..to remove it maybe a simple twist lang di ba? TIA

that reminds me... I did enjoy driving the Montero GLS 4x4 M/T of sir brianextreme! i felt the ooooooomph as i released the clutch... its fun to drive! trust me! its more than just the headlamp washers! nyahahaha...

The manual also illustrates how to release the spare tire.
