i am using a 20'' rims filled with regular compressed air at the start. changed them out to nitrogen just for the heck of it. the only difference i noticed is the money i lost paying the nitrogen. ride is the same coz my tire pressure is the same ~32 psi. nitrogen has nothing to do to improve the ride IMO.

Sir if i may just add, you are correct in saying the extra 100 spent for each tire for the nitrogen. Aside from the unlimited refill for the existing tires. You may also want to consider that nitro filled tires have a longer life in each refill. 3-4 months unattended. Unlike normal air that you change once in a while.

Also nitrogen, since it does not dflate your tires faster means that you will have constant tire pressure and balance. Which equates to even tire wear and life. This i can prove 101%. So in the long run you save up on changing tires at a timely manner. HTH!

What's the benefit of filling nitrogen air? And what do you mean by unlimited refill? Once I filled my wheels with nitrogen air, is it fine to fill it with normal air just in case there's a need?

Like everybody else who drives, you have been feeling the squeeze on your pocket book from the rising gas prices. The days of cheap gas for our automobiles are probably over. And now you need to know how to make buying that tank of gas less painful.

There are many things you can do to save on your gas bill, and one thing that may be overlooked is increasing your gas mileage through your tires. Yes, proper inflation will help slightly, gives a more comfortable and safer ride, but have you ever considered inflating your tires with nitrogen?
The newest ingenuity in automobile tires is nitrogen inflation. Automotive racers (such as NASCAR) use nitrogen instead of air in their tires because of the many advantageous, the least of which is improved gas mileage. You can increase your gas mileage by 5 to 15% simply by filling your tires with Nitrogen, which can be done at a nominal cost of $3 to $5, and you won’t have to worry nearly as much about properly inflated tires.

Our air is made up of nitrogen, oxygen and other gases, but by filling your tires with nitrogen you eliminate the troubles oxygen has with our tires. Air corrodes aluminum and steel wheels, causing leaks through valve stems, wheel flanges and around the tire beads. Air also migrates through rubber. Air actually escapes through the rubber whether there is a leak or not. Plus, there is humidity in the air, which accelerates rust and corrosion. If you have ever wondered how one tire could “look low” this is why. You could be losing 2 psi a month with air, compared to taking 6 months with nitrogen. By maintaining better air pressures, you improve rolling resistance, have better tread wear and lower your fuel consumption.

Nitrogen tires will also run cooler then tires inflated with air, which keeps tire pressures more constant (won’t increase or decrease with rising or lowering temperature). You are better able to keep your tire pressures at the recommended pressure, which will also improve tire life and gas mileage.

Same question too. Legally, all commemorative plates should be displayed together with the licensed plate. No commemorative plates is exempted from "coding" unless you have the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) certificate which i think is not also recognized in Makati

So in the end it still a lotto game

i think it is ok to have the commemorative plate as long as the original plate is also visible. i was once stopped in makati when i was still using my QCPD plate. they flagged me down because the commemorative plate covers the original plate... even if I said i bought the plate to support their organization.. walang effect drama ko! hehehe... i got it for 2.5k, but with my violation in makati, all in all i got the plate for 2,800 (im sure you know what i mean... ).

i was also offered with the LEAP plate when i had my 10k PMS at Diamond, i forgot the price, but i think its almost the same as posted by sir Rev D. they said it is exempted from color coding even in makati because it supports their organization there. i asked if the plate comes with a letter or card that says it is honored all over metro manila and that it is really exempted from color coding.. they just said "guaranteed sir walang huli kahit saan" .. i then just answered, "wala na akong pera e!" ... Rev D, maybe you can enlighten us sir. Thanks!

that attachment on the winshield could be the rain auto sensing wipers. this is the second car from Mitsubishi to have this feature- the first one being the Lancer EX GT-A

yep, totoo nga... it doesnt have the step up from the bumper for that cargo box... i hope they make the tonneau cover standard in all variants naman... anyone who takes a closer look at it should see the round knob/slot to release the spare tire on the carpet.

boasting aside, I noticed traffic enforcers would look the other way after they see my plate. My bro pass by Makati everyday. Not even once he gets stopped by traffic enforcers. This is LTO plate and somehow have the respect from men on the streets.



now for the price of the items:

window visor: got it free from the Citimotor dealer. Its around P1000 in Banaue.
Headlight and taillight chromes: P2,200 per set
EGR Hood / Insect deflector: P2500 from Goldrich. (they have other models ranging up to P3500).

sir base on my experience to lessen the the stiffness of ride. try filling your tires with nitrogen air. it cost around 100 pesos per tire at tire boy in araneta qc and they offer unlimited refill of nitrogen air. thats what i did to my car and it certainly improve the ride of the car. and nitrogen air are recommended especially for those changing they're mags n tires to bigger ones.

This morning I had all my tires including the spare re-filled with nitro (sa Speed Seven Timog less than P500). Tire pressure at 32 (back) and 29 (front).

Had my wheels aligned and cambered (P1800 sa Bridgestone Timog). I have 500+km on my odometer.

Seems like the ride improved a bit.

My bro uses it everyday in Makati in his Innova. The plate says "GOD 1ST". His original plate is inside the car. Not once was he ever stopped.

Nauuso na Com Plates again. I used to have com plates in all my vehicles couple of years back. Hinuhuli. So i stopped using them. Now it's ok again so you'll see a lot of QCPD and PNP plates on the streets. I think the only reason people will buy the plates is for color coding exemption. Hindi to get away with a blatant violation.

I have one in my basic Suzuki MPV and one in my Landcruiser. So far, wala pang sita. My orig plates are inside the car. I'm enjoying the exemption while it lasts. Hope I've shed some light. Not promising anything or giving false hopes. After all, the plate itself looks REALLY good!
