i had tested my monty to baguio at night with matching rains last june. we chose the magilas trail and marcos hi-way on our way up. took time and enjoyed our 4H because of the mixed mud and gravel in some portion. i really want to use the kennon to test its climbing power but ascending it in wet and dark is not safe and ideal.

but i didn't let kennon slipped so we use it when we go down at noontime. there, i shifted to 4H too and used our sportronic mode most of the time to downshift in twisting portions to prevent oveheating on brakes.

overall, it was a piece of cake and safe... thanks to Him too

Just wanted to share TC327 Montero Sport being protected by his bro Strada's from the Strada Club. Silver Strada next to the Black Montero Sport is also TC327.

I don't know, whatever it is, whoever is right, all i know is that there needs to be a sort of 'cool down' period before turning off the engine. Like i said, i'm not a pro at this, and i don't know much about the technical side of a turbo since its my first. So i can't argue at all since i'm a newbie at this. Thank you also for informing me about this issue.

Sir Dexlab... i've asked 2 mechanics about this issue, both dealing with turbos, one does aftermarket turbos and the other does stock turbos... And both gave me 2 different answers. But since you gave me this info i guess it makes it 2 to 1 in my books. So thank you for sharing your info and correcting me about the reasons for the 'cool down' period. I sincerely thank you for adding to my knowledge about our cars.

hello, i am a new owner of a montero sport. i would like to ask you guys about the optiguard paint protection of big bert's. is it better than Ziebart's Diamond gloss? also how is it applied to our vehicle? is it somewhat like 3M's scotchgard or is it sprayed like a top coat on our vehicle? does it really protect our car? because my main corcern if having water spots, i mean with the kind of weather we have. we wouldn't be able to always avoid getting our cars dry under the sun ater going thru the rain.

i think most of the guys here own a montero with A/T, mine is a 2.5L GLS 4x4 M/T. with the other guys here going up in baguio may i ask how is its performance? (the 2.5L variant either A/T or M/T)

we own a pajero 1997 model 2.5L, when it was new going up in baguio was just a piece of cake but after the 1000km check up it somewhat lost power and the mitsubishi CASA cant do anything about it but tell me " sorry sir, talagang underpower yan eh". This is the reason why i am asking about the performance of a 2.5L variant of montero sport in going to baguio. although it has 136 HP compared to my old pajero of 99 HP, still the experience of the people who hav tried it would mean more rather than just the stats comparison.

    Thank you

Quick question dun sa mga nag palit ng wheels and tires nila...

What did you do with your OEM wheels and tires? Did you trade them in...sold them...or just kept them?

Also, wouldn't changing the wheels void the warranty on the suspension? What do you do when you bring your Monty's to the casa for service?

    Thanks.

i kept them, so at anytime i can put it back plus the trade in value is not nearly worth it.

No it will not void the warranty, though some SA will tell you that it will! Those are the "nagmamarunong SAs".... best people to ask are the warranty advisers.

    Sir adrewlim....

I bought it at agno street / Banawe street, I dont have the calling card with me now, from Banawe street turn into Agno street, on the right hand first car accessories shop......

It cost 800 peso includsive the installation....

The materials use cast iron.......they use black silicon to stick on the side mirrow...

The dis advantage was after install this, the side view become smaller...

What i do before on our TDIC Carnival, a few minutes before i arrive at my destination, off-boost na ako. so thats a good 3-5 minutes of cool down for the turbine. To those who have wives and gf's, they can also be a turbo timer. How? well since they do touch-ups and fix-ups and other stuff before they alight the car, thats another 2-3 minutes of cool down time.

IMO, this actually won't affect driving performance. Akala ko naman sa body or fender well.

yeah I agree, it's better than no side mirror to look on, when driving....

Do you guys know where I could buy a convex mirror(or any mirror) that I can place on our garage to prevent bumpers of our cars from hitting each other?(space is limited so we need to park d cars really close to each other and it gets difficult if your alone parking without anyone to signal if its that close or not)

Usually I always double check like going out of the car to check the distance to make sure it won't hit, but last time I saw our other car's front bumper kissing the rear bumper of the other one(not my fault, actually my dad's fault heheh). Which caused a slight horizontal markings on the rear bumper caused by the plate cover of the other.

Another concern of mine is security(I'm living in a place where lots of side mirrors and wheel caps are disappearing overnight), if I'm taking so much time to park my car then that may give opportunity for burglars/thief or etc.... to get inside our garage. (that's why we are also planning to get those remote controlled gadgets that you install on your gates so it will open and close automatically, so it would close even before you get out of your car.)

Any other solutions? I'll appreciate any suggestions thank you.
