I've been trying to figure it out but i cant put my monty on silent mode, also been reading the Code Alarm manual. I hate the chirp sound when it locks/unlocks.

Finally! Our family got our montero na. It's a sedona red. So finally I can join you guys on the next EB.

So far here are the changes I made since I got it yesterday... all from L.A cars mahal ata yung H.I.D ko

Horn - Hella twin Horn - 1200
Tint - Mediunblack solargard all side... vkool M30 winshield - 8000
low beam H.I.D (xenon Clearview made in korea) - 6900

Next would me matting and seat covers...

Anymore suggestion guys..

To everyone, good news! Well, good news to those who would also like to disarm the passive/automatic arming of their alarm system.

I spoke to the Code Alarm installer of Winterpine and asked if it could be removed. It is just a simple re-programming and is actually DIY. It's not in the Owner's Manual so I photocopied the page from the Dealer's Manual.




Hi, just curious on what would happen if I diconnect my battery. Would the alarm settings be affected, or would any computer in the engine system be affected or be needing any reset by the casa dealer?

Hello sir Mic! I was actually surprised to see you. And coincidentally on my way to Mitsu Alabang to get my honeycomb grille. I was going around the corner, I said to myself, "I know I've seen him from the pictures". Not really sure who you are, but I just had to say "hi!". Stopped right at the corner, hazard lights on, and blurted out, "Are you Mike?". True enough, it was you, wrong pronunciation of your name though. Glad to have met you and I hope to see you again with the other Montero owners.

Thanks for the shout out and yes, I got my new grille installed already. I hope to post pics, but it's the same grille djin posted earlier. Either way, I'm proud to have it, even if it's just a simple mod.

Just follow the instructions. Passive arming is at option 6.

galing neto thanks. i was wondering bka naman pwede i program ang speed sensing locks . i find it useful bec of my altis. i always tend to forget to lock the doors when i go out to get something without turning off the engine, it won't lock on itself unless you manually lock it

Thanks. A part of it was luck, actually. I saw the Winterpine people installing a Code Alarm on a Mitsu Adventure and I just asked. When they re-programmed mine and saw that it could be done via DIY. I borrowed the manual and photocopied the page so I could post it here.

sir fermontalban this info is quite helpful to us Monty owners who really not knowing on how to manipulate the alarmpics naman nang new grill and hope you got some info about all the accessories they posted sometimes some casa's have diffirent prices just to have an idea....TIA

Thank you. I'll try to get a picture. But be warned, it's just an oem grille. I got the pricing of all the accessories. Not sure if the pricing is different from different casas though. I'll just post them for reference later. But I don't have the labor and installation cost though.

The valet switch is the blue LED near the key slot. It is actually a push button as well.

Not really sure, anyone can enlighten us? With our previous car, when you disconnect the battery, the alarm system goes back to default.

We are on the same boat! Got used to our Altis as well. I forgot to ask about it though. I could probably ask again if ever I go back. Um... the last part of your statement, you want it to lock while the engine is running? Won't you be leaving your keys inside?

A bit OT...
I really want the speed sensings lock as well. Especially when I'm with my sister. She gets angry when we have reached our destination and realize that all the while during the trip, I forgot to lock the doors. Nasanay lang ako sa Altis namin. Even our Yaris, although a Toyota as well, it does not have a speed sensing lock.

How i wish our MS will have this same features.. my brother's civic automatically locks when you reach 15kph and unlocks when you put it in park ( P ).

Our monty is not equipped with speed sensing locks and not possible to program code alarm with this feature. What i do is close door first before starting the engine.

Sirs, i observed that it will lock all doors in seconds once i start the engine. kainis nga lang na i have to unlock again to let my buddy gets in the ride after closing the gates... Any solution aside from having auto recloser on gates. Wondering if our units can have 5 mins time delay upon start door auto locks to engaged. TIA

Hi! I got my floor matting from Seat Crown in SJ. That's also where I got my leatherette seat covers. Very good quality, they specifically cut the matt (they have nomad or the standard matt) to the size of our Monty. Tel number is 724 4666 or 725 3749. Owner is Emy Yu.

Out of curiousity, how is the immobilizer enabled/disabled?

You have to you use the keyless entry to disable the immobilizer?
There is a sensor that detects the OEM key or the keyless remote? (there is something in the key/remote?)
If you open the door locks with the key, you can't start the vehicle?

And also...
Do anyone of you know of a shop who has the template for the floor matting of the Montero sport? Since we got our Montero and the rains started, it's been really difficult keeping the floor clean. We only have the 5pc 3M Nomad matting pre-cut for sedans and sadly some parts are not covered. I would buy the 5pc mat sold by the casa if it is indeed a good fit but sadly it is made of fabric. I really want a Nomad type of matting. It doesn't matter if it is a 3pc or a 5pc set, all I need is a good fit.

Mga bossing im planning to install Apexi pen type turbo timer and pivot push start sa Monty ko. Anong feedback niyo dito sa mga nakagamit na. Sabi kasi sa kin ng speedlab hindi daw sila nagkakabit ng turbo timer sa Montero 09 dahil hindi daw gumagana. Marereccomend niyo ba tong 2 items na to? TIA!
