[quote=JPG111;1291003]Yes sir they ask for extra charge if you choose "super black" , Free tint only applies for the medium black on side/rear windows & visor .. I had my windshield tinted 1 piece at winterpine..

Hi sir JPG, do you mind to tell our new Montero friends, how much you pay for the one pcs. of Super black at winterpine????

My experience was i use the spare key, made from outside store, it can start the engine, but it was cut off after 1 mins....so the the spare key sayang..
Sayang, I guess we really should take good care of our keys. I can imagine casa will ask for a premium amount of cash if ever we need a new one.

Like what sir stubby said, I believe this is the valet mode. I was hoping to take out the passive/automatic arm feature entirely.

I think I will finally have my Monty delivered to me this coming Thursday... *keeps fingers crossed*... My question guys, if anyone would be kind enough to chime in is regarding the tint for my Sedona Red Monty...

I asked for super black for the side and rear windows and a one piece medium black tint for the windshield... However, my SA is insisting that the "super black" tint costs more and I'll have to shell out more money as it is outside of their usual rate for dark tints... (As if I haven't shelled out enough money, tsk, tsk)

I just want to get your opinion, for those who have had their Monty's tinted at the dealer prior to delivery if this is true or am I being fed another load of bullcr*p... (excuse the language)...

Your advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance and I hope that I'm welcome to join the club once I get the Monty...

    Regards
i had my tint wish completely same with you.

normally tint (regular) is a freebee..... but since we want quality, we opted for 3M film tint..... So, i add up P 3500 in all.

    Sir,

I think Winterpine will be able to program your code alarm to permanently disable the function. After all, sila naman ang nag-install eh.

Pero may question lang ako - the alarm stays in valet mode until you decide to restore it to the normal mode right? In this case, don't you effectively disable the passive/automatic arm feature already?

I hope it is somehow possible. But if it involves modifying the alarm system altogether, I won't push it.

As sir stubby said, the casa said it's not possible. Worth a shot with Winterpine. In valet mode, the system is technically off. I hope to make it just like any other car alarm system, arm the system when you press "lock", disarm when you press "unlock". No more automatic arm feature. I am also a "victim" of the alarm always going off during a carwash. But I'm starting to get the habit of putting it in valet mode before a carwash. But i'd rather not have the auto arm feature at all.

I see sir. I guess best bet right now is really Winterpine, as they are the official distributor of Code Alarm in the country. Worst case scenario is that if they don't know how to program it yet, they can contact the source of the particular model and ask them how to do it.

So the Montero's alarm is locally installed (specifically by Winterpine with its Code Alarm products)? I was hoping they did something like Toyota wherein everything is done in the factory.

Also how long is the supposed waiting time for a 4x2? Any colors that are particularly in hight demand?

    Thanks!

It depends on the mode of payment, In house financing has a shorter waiting time..2 months is the longest waiting period for cash buyers .. Black & White are the colors on high demand..
